Project Update: Physical Magic has arrived!
Hi Folks,
I just wanted to share a quick update. I got my advance copies of Physical Magic yesterday and they look fantastic! I was able to work with a local author and artist, Audrey Logsdon, to upgrade the title and lettering a bit to give it a nice pop.
The formatting for Foxfire in the Snow is almost complete, and as soon as it is, I'm going to put in an order for that one as well. Oceans of Fireflies will be ready soon after that, and all three books will be coming to you before the end of the year. For those who got the subscription. All the newly released books will be coming to you once I get Oceans, so be on the lookout...
I've also been busy putting the RPGs together, which was a new experience! I've been working in Affinity Publisher, which gives me a lot more formatting leeway, especially with graphics. Here are a couple page layouts for the Dissolutionverse and the Creatures of Ruin RPGs. Both of these manuals will be releasing very soon!
Whew! That's five books releasing before the end of the year, and we'll be back in January with the release of Tavern Tale.
I'll have another update as soon as I'm shipping new books out!

PROJECT UPDATE
Project Update: Fiery Deeps is shipping out and 3 days left for Lesbians in Space!
Hi Folks!
I've got a bunch of packages with Fiery Deeps shipping out tomorrow! Those of you with the full year subscription, you'll be getting a BIG box in November with the first half of the titles for the year, including Physical Magic, Foxfire in the Snow, Oceans of Fireflies and more!
Did you know we have only 3 days left in our second campaign of the year? Lesbians in Space: Where No Man Has Gone Before, is currently sitting at $8,000 and we've hit 3 stretch goals! I'm really to hoping to hit our $10,000 stretch goal by Thursday the 26th, which means we'll have special, fancy hardcover versions available of the anthology. The fancy hardcovers won't be available afterward, so now's the time to get that version and help us hit that goal!
We're already getting some fantastic submissions for the anthology, and we'll have some amazing stories coming from Hugo-Award winning and bestselling authors:
- Seanan McGuire, multiple Hugo Award-winning author of the Wayward Children series, the October Daye series, and the Incryptid series!
- Travis Baldree, author of Legends and Lattes, shortlisted for the Hugo Award for best novel in 2023, as well as exceptional audiobook narrator!
- Emma Newman, Hugo Award-winning podcaster and author of the Planetfall series, which was shortlisted for the Best Series Hugo Award in 2020!
- Mary Robinette Kowal. Hugo Award-winner Mary Robinette Kowal has written: The Spare Man, The Glamourist Histories series, Ghost Talkers, the Lady Astronaut Universe, and many short stories.
Booktopia 2024 is going so well, and I'd encourage you to check out all the projects. 52 of the 59 projects have funded, and a couple more are almost there! Each project is also paired with a collab partner, and we're offering special rewards for people backing physical rewards. For example, if you back Lesbians in Space and my partner Aimee Cozza's The Warm Machine, you'll get 6 out of a 56 card deck of oracle cards!
As a special bonus, if you back 5 projects or more, BackerKit will also send you a special metal bookmark!
The creators have also had a lot of fun behind the scenes, getting to know each other and supporting each other's projects. It's an amazing adventure, so go check it out!
See you next time!

PROJECT UPDATE
Project Update: The new campaign is funded, and has passed the first stretch goal!
Hi Folks!
I've ordered copies of Fiery Deeps, and I'll be shipping the paperback copies as soon as they come in, so keep an eye out later in the month!
I also wanted to give a quick update on the second campaign I'm running this year. It's for Lesbians in Space: Where No Man Has Gone Before, a new anthology coming from Space Wizard in June 2025. I am thrilled to say this campaign funded, and just passed our first stretch goal at $6,000 in only 4 days!
We also have four incredible authors already scheduled to contribute to the anthology. You've probably heard these names before:
This campaign also has a special perk. I'm working with a Collab Partner for Booktopia 2024, Aimee Cozza. Her project for The Warm Machine, is also funded! It's about two gay robots running off together. It's an amazing concept, and I'll certainly be getting a copy!
Anyone who backs any physical reward from both our campaigns will also get 6 out of a 56 card deck of oracle cards! This is a unique opportunity for Booktopia, and a really cool concept. The names for the 6 cards we're contributing are: Unknown, Freedom, Decommission, Love, Space, and Journey! You can see the whole set below:
This is a really great concept, and a way to find a lot a really awesome indie authors, so go check it out!
See you next time!

PROJECT UPDATE
Project Update: First books shipping out!
Hi folks!
We're back from our travels across Scotland and at WorldCon in Glasgow. It was an amazing trip, but I'm glad to be home! Here are some pictures, including on with several Space Wizard authors! It was great to have a mini-reunion, and I got to meet a couple of the authors I work with for the first time in person!

It was great to have a mini-reunion, and I got to meet a couple of the authors I work with for the first time in person!
In other news, I'm shipping out the first batch of books tomorrow. I'll have several more going out soon, but I realized I was almost out of a lot of the pins and keychains ordered in the campaign, and the person who makes them for me was on the tour with me! So I've got to wait for those to be made and shipped to me, and then I'll get the next shipment out.
While you're waiting for your books, can I interest you in...more books?
We're running our new campaign in September for Lesbians in Space: Where no Man Has Gone Before! This will be a collection of sapphic stories in space, coming out June 2025. It's part of BackerKit's Booktopia, running from September 5-26, where a bunch of indie authors will be showcasing their projects! I'm working with a group that's offering an exclusive deck of cards, based on our stories. You can collect the whole set if you back all of our projects!
We also have some surprises for you coming out of WorldCon. We were able to do some networking while we were there, and now have one confirmed Hugo award-winning author who will be contributing a story, and a few more who are still tentative. We may have some big names in this book, so keep an eye on the project to see who's announced!
Until next time!
