Little Witch Willow's Big Day is the fantastical story of one day in the life of a little witch and her black cat familiar. Written and illustrated by award-winning cartoonist Stan! (creator of The Littlest Shoggoth), it is an already completed 31-page tale that this campaign will allow to be put into print.
In the fall of 2020 I planned to take part in the annual DRAWlloween challenge of creating a Halloween themed drawing every day during the month of October. But rather than use one of the prompt lists that most people used, I decided to create a story about a little witch.
Each day I posted a new drawing, starting with the little witch and her black cat familiar waking up and continuing as they went on with their activities for the day. Some days it was a single image, other days is was a four panel comic, but slowly as the month progressed, so did the story of my little witch ... culminating on Halloween Day, when she tucked herself into bed at the end of a fun-filled day.
And then the story just sat on my hard drive for the next six years.
Over the passing years, I've thought about Little Witch Willow often, an would occasionally get contacted by fans who wanted to know where her story was available for them to read and share with friends and family.
Although the original posts were still available in the archives of my social media (and still are), there was no book or PDF I could point them to. But that is hopefully about to change.
Which brings us to today. My little witch and I are very excited about the idea that her story will be available as a book that families can read together and share for years to come. But that will happen is if enough fans of things that walk the line between kawaii cuteness and supernatural spookiness choose to back this project.

And if all this works out well, there are more stories to come for my little witch and her friends. But those are tales for another time.
We're keeping this project simple. There are only four pledge levels.
Digital Book ($10): You get a PDF of the book. That's it. No physical rewards, stretch goals, or add ons.
Physical Book ($25): You get a copy of the printed book plus a copy of the PDF. Also included are any stretch goals achieved by the campaign.
Signed Book ($35): You get a copy of the printed book and a signed & remarqued book plate, plus a copy of the PDF. Also included are any stretch goals achieved by the campaign.
Big Bundle ($50): You get a copy of the printed book and a signed & remarqued book plate, plus a copy of the PDF. You also get a pack of four (4) 3-inch stickers featuring characters from the book. Also included are any stretch goals achieved by the campaign.
Because of the unpredictable nature of postage costs, shipping fees will be charged when the books are ready to be sent.
Shipping will be done using USPS Priority Mail.
At this time, we estimate that the project will be ready to ship by February 2027, and that U.S. domestic shipping costs will be approximately $12 for any of the basic pledges. (International shipping is likely to run $35 or more ... and we, honestly, do not recommend it. But if international customers are willing to accept that rate, we will ship worldwide.)
