QC and shipping will be next. Shipping may take some time due to the cost of shipping, but I've picked up a second job so I'm hoping to be able to get these out to you as soon as possible! If I ever do a campaign again, I've learned to account for fees, cancellations etc. and provide myself a better buffer (though I don't think that I'll run another campaign, at least until tariff policy makes more sense lol). Thank you again for all your patience!
So I want to start off with apologizing for the long delay in fulfilling everyones pledges and the lack of updates. It was wrong of me to leave you all in the dark. For those of you who don't care to read any more, the TLDR is that 1. I am communicating with a manufacturer for pin production and 2. If you no longer wish to pledge, please message me and your pledge will be refunded.
So, what happened?
I'm a US resident, and the tariff situation really out the project into a bind. I'm not an artist full time, and while I have done small scale projects, I didn't have much disposable income. The only reason I was able to fund the project was with pledges, and with the amount of pins ordered, I wasn't going to have much, if any, profit left over after manufacturing and shipping- tariff fees were going to be very, very difficult for someone who lives paycheck to paycheck. There was some thought that the tariffs were going to be lifted, so my hope was that the tariff difficulty would be removed. However, that situation doesn't seem to be budging in any significant way.
On a more personal note, this year has been exceedingly difficult for me. I've dealt with workplace harassment, losing my health insurance, moving, and severe depression.
However, I recognize that I've been deeply unfair to everyone who pledged to the backerkit campaign. This is my responsibility to follow through on, and I really do want to get your rewards to all of you! Again, if you no longer have any interest, please send me a message and you will be refunded. Im not exactly financially stable, but I do have some loan funds I can shift around to get this done.
Im sorry again everyone. I never intended to let this get away from me for so long, and I'm going to do what I can to make it right.
Hello everyone! I'm sorry its been a minute since I've updated you, I was waiting on some actual news to send your way. As of today, it seems that tariffs have been dropped to 30% for the next 90 days. Things are still really uncertain and confusing right now, but with this drop, I will immediately begin getting pins produced!
My apologies again for the long delay- this pin project was never meant to turn a profit, and with the sudden massive additonal cost of tariffs, I simply did not have an extra 145% to pay the import fee. These past few months have been confusing and difficult for many businesses, but I'm committed to getting the best possible producted out to you.

I'm sure you're all aware of the fiasco that is tariffs that are occurring in the US right now. Unfortunately, that is where I live. Enamel pins are produced primarily in China, and that is where the manufacturers that I was working with are located.
However, there's now a 104% tariff on all goods coming from China. That is... a lot to pay, for a small independent business.
That being said, I am still going to get your pins made! It just may take a little bit longer. I may be able to find a manufacturer located elsewhere, or who knows? Tariffs could be lifted at any time. I promise I'm working on figuring out the logistics, it just might be a bit of a longer process.

It's been a full week since any new surveys have been filled out, so I'm about to lock them so I can begin production. SURVEYS WILL BE LOCKED AT 6 PM EST TODAY! 2. I have reached out to those of you who had to choose two pin designs for the pin addon due to the upc bug. If you chose an add on, please check your email! Most of you who had to deak with the bug are all set, but if you have any questions, don't hesitate to get in contact!
