Hey folks! Development on Mythic Treasures is going great! The designs are nearly finalized, and the art is coming along nicely as well. We're on track for a late October release. We have a bit of a dilemma with trinkets, so we wanted to poll you, our backers, and get your take. We suspect that most groups don't play at 4th echelon very much—and even when they do, they probably don't spend a huge amount of time there. With that in mind, we're considering dropping 4th echelon trinkets altogether. If we wanted to include them, we'd have to split off a portion of our high-level trinkets to 4th echelon, which means less variety at 3rd echelon—the tier we expect most players are more likely to actually use. There's also a relatively small power difference between 3rd and 4th echelon trinkets. In practice, a director could simply give players an extra 3rd echelon trinket instead of a 4th echelon one, and the players would most likely not tell the difference. Our current lean is to skip 4th echelon trinkets and put that design space toward giving you more variety at 3rd echelon.
