Project Update: How to Draw Figures — Shipping 100% Complete & Tracking Sent
Hey everyone,
Quick update on shipping: For reasons we're still trying to figure out, the shipping notifications weren't sent out automatically from BackerKit. I contacted their support team and they showed me how to manually trigger them, so everyone should now have tracking information in their inbox.
We are 100% finished with mailing with the exception of 2 backers who either didn't pay for shipping or never completed their survey. If that's you and you need help, just reach out!

If you were watching the leaderboard chaos today on our Return to Earth campaign, that was quite a race to see who would win the cookies and free sketch! Ray ended up on top with 19,385 points after an epic battle with Jaleesa.

Project Update: MISSION UPDATE: The Drawing Revolution is Spreading! ✏️
The packages are landing! 📦
Our shipping drones (okay, postal workers) have been working overtime, and we're thrilled to report that the How to Draw Figures mission is nearly complete. Your art books are finding their way to drawing tables, coffee shops, and secret sketching hideouts around the globe!
🎯 CURRENT MISSION STATUS
- Domestic orders: Nearly 100% deployed!
- International orders: Still navigating international airspace (hang tight, global sketchers!)
📋 FIELD INSTRUCTIONS
If you're in the US and haven't received your tracking info by end of this week, send an encrypted message (okay, just a regular email) to [email protected] and we'll locate your package faster than you can draw a stick figure.
🕵️ INTELLIGENCE GATHERING
Your mission, should you choose to accept it: Document your unboxing and report back to HQ! Tag @SteveRudeTheDude with your unboxing photos, first sketches, or progress updates. We're building an army of artists, and every sketch shared strengthens the community!
Some of you eagle-eyed agents have already started posting your unboxing adventures and first drawing attempts - keep 'em coming! There's something magical about seeing that moment when someone opens their package and gets that "time to create something awesome" look in their eyes.
🎨 REMEMBER YOUR TRAINING
As your package label says: "Proceed with caution and a pencil ready" - because once you start this drawing journey, there's no going back to stick figures (well, unless you want to draw really good stick figures).
Whether you're a complete beginner or looking to level up your figure drawing game, you're now part of something bigger. Every line you draw, every mistake you make and learn from, every "aha!" moment when proportions finally click - you're part of a community of artists supporting each other's growth.

Project Update: AMAZING NEWS UPDATE! The books have landed! 📚✨
We've got some fantastic news to share - our first batch of Figure Drawing books arrived on Friday, and Steve was so excited he showed them off during his livestream!

The rest of our book order is rolling in Monday, which means we're officially starting to ship on Tuesday. Can you believe it? We're actually doing this!
Team Update & Transition Time We're in one of those exciting but busy seasons where everyone's got cool stuff happening. Lynn's taking some well-deserved vacation time, and Jessica is following her dreams with her own video channel (we're so proud of her!). This means our superhero Jaynelle is wearing quite a few hats right now - managing orders, wrapping up the new book, keeping Patreon fresh, recovering from surgery like a champ, and somehow still finding time for husky park adventures and gym sessions. Oh, and making sure Steve stays fed (someone's got to do it!).

Project Update: Studio Shipping Check-In: Figure Drawing
Hey everyone! Quick update from Team Rude 📚
Hope you're all doing well! Wanted to give you the latest scoop on where we're at with getting Steve's amazing Figure Drawing book into your hands.
The Good News First We've got our shipping supplies all squared away and sitting in the warehouse, and honestly, it feels great to see everything coming together! Most of your goodies are already pulled and ready to go - we're just waiting on a couple of key pieces to complete the puzzle.
The "Learning Patience Together" News So here's what's happening with the main event - those How to Draw Figures books. Our printer hit a little snag with the machine that creates those lovely spiral bindings (you know, the kind that lets the book lay flat while you're sketching). Nothing major, just one of those "machines have feelings too" moments. The good news? They're prioritizing getting them shipped to us, and we'll overnight them the second they arrive.
Steve's Art Corner Update You know how perfectionist artists can be (and we love Steve for it!). He's finished all the FCBD paintings except for that Frazetta piece, which is apparently being a bit stubborn. But here's the silver lining - we found a local printer who can turn these around super quick once Steve works his magic on that final piece.
Speaking of Steve's Creative World... While we're all waiting together, some of you might be interested to know that Steve's also been working on something called "Return to Earth" - another passion project that's been brewing. No pressure at all, but if you're curious about what else is happening in Steve's artistic universe, it might be worth a peek! (link below)
Bottom Line for Our Patient Community We're still absolutely on track for September shipping! Maybe not the early September we were all hoping for, but September nonetheless. Your support and patience mean the world to us, and we promise these books will be worth the wait.

Project Update: Your Figure Drawing Book is at the Printer! 🎨
Hey there!
We have fantastic news – after what felt like 1001 rounds of edits (but who's counting?), "Steve Rude's Figure Drawing: A How-To From a Veteran Illustrator" is officially at the printer!
The book grew during our final editing process – we added an additional 36 pages of content we just couldn't leave out. Now at 136 pages, this spiral-bound beauty covers everything from construction and gestures to capturing likeness, with dedicated chapters on heads, hands, feet, and hair. It's packed with drawing essentials Steve learned from Andrew Loomis, the Famous Artist Courses, and every incredible teacher along his journey.
Your books should arrive in our studio within 2 weeks, and we're still on track to ship everything out in September. You'll receive tracking information as soon as your order leaves our hands.
