Haruki the sakura fox is a springtime spirit who brings good fortune. Measuring at 24" long, this large plushie is made with ultra soft fur and features unique flower detailing. The paws and belly are weighted, making them the perfect cuddle companion!
The concept for Haruki's design was inspired by a cherry blossom fox I had handmade for my shop a few years ago. I wanted to bring that concept to life as it's own distinct character. The cherry blossom arrangement on the tail and head were repurposed ideas from this previous design. The same sakura design now makes a major appearance as a soft applique on their back as well!
Unlike the current design, the original concept art for Haruki didn't have the iconic pink and white rope that it does now. Added as a homage to mizukiki (decorative cord), this soft, plush rope was based on the traditional Japanese art of tying decorative knots and colorful cords. With the addition of this unique collar, Haruki's personality blossomed. It was also around this time that the name "Haruki" was chosen. Haru, meaning "spring" and ki meaning "spirit" or "tree".
After several long revisions, Haruki's plush design has come a long way from where we started. The first sample was completed at the start of autumn in 2025. Since then, their appearance shifted during the revision process which spanned over the course of several months. Due to the original design's complexity, some details needed to be changed to accommodate for limitations in the plush production process.

The large Haruki plush is made with a bubblegum pink, smooth 10mm faux rabbit fur with embroidered details including their eyes, mouth and paw pads. In contrast to this, the light pink, maroon and hot pink fur is long, soft and fluffy! In addition to their unique texture, their belly and paws have some weight to them for a calming sensation while holding.
Their design features a large, bright pink applique blossom design on their back. There are also hand-sewn sakura flowers sewn by their ears, collar and all over their tail. Lastly, there is a special twisted white and pink collar that forms a large ornate bow behind their head. Please have a look below!

Note: While Haruki is looking good, this is not necessarily the final plush design. This is the current prototype that I have on hand. I plan to adjust some small details on the plush prior to finalizing the design for production and backer fulfillment.

The current keychain sample which measures about 7" tall. The magnetic branch works great and Haruki looks good with and without it!

Here is the estimated production and fulfillment schedule. Production of accessory items is usually pretty quick, so it is likely that I will have those first as production should take 30-60 days. Production for the plushies and figures will take a little longer at 90-120 days. Fulfillment will not begin until all backer rewards have arrived. I will post an update to let backers know about any unforeseen changes to the proposed timeline.
The funding goal for this project will cover production for both plushies, the resin figure, stickers, pins and other accessories. There is a small additional amount to account for a portion of Backerkit fees and a margin of error on manufacturing estimates.
