Get ready for something fun and fresh! I Think I Know Chinese is a lighthearted cooperative party game where players think they know Chinese — and that’s where the fun begins! Using six colorful Element Cards, players work together to give clever (or hilariously wrong) clues while guessing the meanings of Chinese words. It’s all about laughter, teamwork, and a touch of accidental learning through osmosis. Before you know it, you might actually recognize a few characters!

We’ve discovered a small typo in the Cat’s Gambit rulebook under the Component section. It incorrectly lists 36 cards, when the correct number should be 20 cards. This mistake happened because the rulebook template was originally based on Cat Sudoku: Summer Festival, and we missed updating that number before printing.

Rest assured, your copy of Cat’s Gambit includes the correct 20 cards, as intended. Only the printed text in the rulebook is affected.

Dear Backers,

Great news! Cat’s Gambit has officially reached our fulfillment warehouse just before China’s National Holiday on October 1st! Unfortunately, we didn’t have quite enough time to start shipping before the break, but once operations resumed last week, we jumped right back in.

All international (non-US) pledges have already shipped out, and 95% of US backer information has been submitted to our fulfillment center. The remaining 5% will ship as soon as the next batch arrives in Los Angeles. So where does that leave us? You can expect to start seeing your pledges arriving through late October and early November. If you haven’t received your copy by November 15th, please message us or, better yet, email me directly at [email protected] so we can look into it right away.

Finally, a quick reminder: the pre-order store will close at the end of October, so if you’ve been thinking about adding anything, now’s the time!

We’re excited to share some big news!

Cat’s Gambit is officially printed, packed, and ready to go!

In the next few days, the games will be shipped to our fulfillment center in China. From there, we’re on a tight schedule. China’s long holiday begins on October 1st, so we have a very small window to start fulfillment before then. If we miss that window, shipping will resume in mid-October. Either way, your copies are safe and ready. It’s just a matter of timing.

Dear Backers!

We’re excited to share that we’ve received the pre-production copy of Cat’s Gambit! Everything has been approved except for the rulebook. We’ve resubmitted several revisions, and we believe the latest version will be the final one. Once it’s approved, production will officially begin.

MSRP Update

Due to various factors (mainly tariffs and rising transportation costs), we’re adjusting the MSRP of Cat’s Gambit from $12 to $15. Similarly, Cat Sudoku: Summer Festival will increase from $15 to $18.
This will not affect you or anyone in pre-ordered. We’re announcing it now so that those purchasing after pre-orders will be aware of the change, if they read the update.

Fulfillment Plans

This time, our plan is to ship about 99% of orders directly from China. From our experience with Cat Sudoku: Summer Festival, splitting shipments between China and the U.S. helped in some ways, but the delays and logistical stress outweighed the benefits. By consolidating shipments, we expect a smoother and faster delivery process.

What’s New in the Box

We’ve polished both the box design and the cards. Every copy now includes the Queen Umbra expansion card. The paw token is bigger, cuter, and ready to make a statement on your table. We can’t wait for you to see (and play with) it!
