As we prepare to launch The Purrfect Cure enamel pin project, we’d like to share something exciting we’ve been quietly working on behind the scenes.
Alongside the pin collection, we’re planning a tabletop game based on the same characters and world.
If the project goes well, one of our stretch goals will be to unlock a print-and-play edition of the game, allowing backers to experience the characters in a whole new way.
🎲 The Game: The Purrfect Cure (Tabletop)
The planned game is a 2 to 6 player shedding game (to get rid of cards), designed to be approachable, fast to teach, and full of small, clever decisions.
Players take on the roles of plague doctors navigating a city under threat. Each doctor carries limited tools, questionable remedies, and a fair amount of chaos. The goal is simple: be the first to rid yourself of all your cards but timing, interactions, and special effects make every round unpredictable.
It’s designed to be:
Light to medium weight
Highly interactive
Easy to learn, with room for strategy
Suitable for families and casual game groups
🕰️ The Story Behind the Game
In the world of The Purrfect Cure, plague doctors roam a city where danger spreads quietly and nothing goes exactly as planned. Mice dart through alleys, cures are improvised, and every decision feels just slightly risky.
Each character represents a different moment or role in this world, watchful, playful, sneaky, or determined. These moments inspired the enamel pin designs first, and now they’re shaping the game’s mechanics and personality.
The tabletop game is meant to feel:

Character-driven rather than realistic
It’s less about accuracy, and more about storytelling through play.
