First Look: Orange Harlequin Hoodie

The final Orange Harlequin Frog Hoodies are complete, and I’m so happy with how they turned out! 

These will be available in sizes S–4XL, but quantities will be limited. If you missed the campaign but would still like one, they are available to pre-order through the BackerKit pre-order shop.

I also have the first look at the Purple Frog Coin Purse and Lily Pad Coin Purse!

These turned out larger than I expected, but they are absolutely adorable attached to the sling bags. Because of their larger size, I decided to make an upgrade: the coin purses will now include a wristlet strap attachment! This gives you the option to carry them on their own in addition to attaching them to your sling bag.

Both designs are still available for pre-order.

Unfortunately, I also have a delay to share. The manufacturer let me know that the ombre hoodies are taking longer to produce because of the more complicated design.

They currently estimate that production will be completed next week, which moves our estimated shipping date to late September.

I know delays are never fun, and I really appreciate everyone’s patience! I’d rather take the extra time to make sure the final hoodies come out the way they’re supposed to.

I’m still waiting for a final update on the sling bags, but they are also nearing completion and I’ll share more information as soon as I have it.

One of the most exciting parts of the past few weeks has been getting to put the sling bags in front of customers in person!

The Frog Shop has had the sling bags available to view at both Anime Magic and Otakon, and they have been met with SO much excitement! We’ve also seen lots of additional pre-orders after customers got to see them in person.

It’s been really exciting to see how much everyone loves them. I’ve been using the green and black sling bag as my daily purse for months now and it’s holding up well, carries a lot and I’m thrilled with the amount of compliments I get on it!

Thank you again for all of your continued support, patience, and excitement for this project. There are lots of moving pieces behind the scenes, but everything is getting closer to being in your hands! 

Big Update!
I decided not to send surveys out last week as I wanted everyone to be able to see each item before they finalize their orders. Today, I received the sling bag samples as well as many of the finished products and I’m so excited to share! I will work this week to add actual photos of the products to the survey and send those out as soon as possible. 

Hoodies
I am happy with the ombre hoodie final samples. The ombre hoodies have the same cozy fabric that everyone loved with the first series, however, to give the ombre effect, these are printed and the spotted pattern is screen printed (as they were in series 1). The orange harlequin will also be available, so you will have 3 different hoodies to choose from with your pledge. Additionally, some series 1 hoodies will be available as add-ons but sizing is limited in some styles.

Sling Bags
The bags are amazing! The material is so soft and buttery, I absolutely love them! I may have been wrong about the straps. I really like the PU material for the straps. It allows for a perfect match and continuous feel. However, the printed pattern on the PU straps are unappealing to me. I’m considering asking if it could be embroidered or sticking to the plan of doing the webbing. The straps are 43” long. Extenders will be available. The bags are approximately 12”x7”. The ita window is 4.25”x5”.

Red Eye Tree Frog: I am very pleased with this sample. The only change I will make is to add a second keychain loop to the right side of the bag and I will add it to the other bags as well.

Purple Ombre: originally I was considering changing the shade of purple to better match the hoodie. However, it honestly looks pretty cute with the hoodie. I’m curious what you all think?

Kawaii Turquoise: changing the lily pads to the lime green color of the strap. Checking to see if there is a lighter yellow that could work better for the ita panel.

Green and Black: we didn’t raise enough founds to unlock this design but should we do it anyway? Curious how many people are interested in this design.

Pins and Other Accessories

The pins, bookmarks, and fidgets are in and they all look amazing!  The only accessory that I am still working on are the socks. We aren’t able to get the ombre to work with the socks. I am redesigning to create a cute alternative that still matches the hoodie. I will update you all on the socks when I can!

A day late and a dollar short, but we finally have sample photos from the manufacturer with all of my edits! The hoodies look amazing! They’re adding the drawstrings tomorrow and then they’ll be shipped out to me.

I should have them in hand within about a week, and I’ll share some updated photos so everyone can see how they look on!

The sling bags are running a little behind schedule. Today I received a photo of the straps, and while they look really nice, it’s not quite worth sharing yet. The sample uses PU straps, but the final bags will have upgraded custom webbing straps.

Once I receive the sample, I’ll be able to share the confirmed bag dimensions and strap measurements. The current strap length is 120cm, but I’d like to verify that once the sample arrives.

I’ll also be offering strap extenders as a $12 add-on in the post-campaign survey for anyone who would like extra length.

Payments are currently being processed! With crowdfunding campaigns, it’s very common for some payments to fail on the first attempt.

If your payment didn’t go through, you may need to update your payment information. BackerKit will continue attempting to process failed payments over the next several days, so don’t worry if you see a pending payment issue.

The post-campaign survey is where you’ll finalize your selections. This will be emailed out next week!

In the survey, you’ll select the styles and sizes you’d like for each pledge and add-on. You’ll also have the opportunity to make additional add-ons or update your selections if needed.

Once your survey is complete, shipping fees will be charged.

We came SO close to unlocking these designs!

During my last campaign, I was surprised to see that post-campaign add-ons brought in enough support to unlock some stretch goals after the campaign ended. Because of that, I’m considering making these designs available as well!
