Project Update: February update - The material is written!

Project Status
Raffaele has completed the content for both the Core Book and all Stretch Goals. To be precise, he is finishing up the Solo Mode this weekend—the final outstanding piece of the puzzle. While it will still require some playtesting, all material is effectively written.
Editing & Translation
I have begun my editing pass for the Core Book. It’s a substantial read and I’m currently about 33% through, so I expect to finish in the coming days. So far, my notes have been minimal; I don't anticipate any major rewrites, just smoothing out the edges. Once this pass is complete, the Italian version of the book will move into layout while I begin the English translation.
Art & Production
We have finalized the full list of illustrations for Daniel Comerci, and it’s looking incredibly rich.
Before diving into the art, Daniel helped me assemble the assets for the sample production of our bullet dice and maps. All assets have been submitted to the factory, and we expect to receive prototypes within the next few weeks. This process was more time-consuming than anticipated, but we’re confident the results will be excellent.

Project Update: January update - Surveys locking soon!
Hello Badasses,
At this point, you should have all received your Backerkit survey link. However, 44 people have still not completed it. If you believe you are among that group, PLEASE DO IT NOW.
Filling out the survey is strictly necessary for us to deliver your rewards when they are ready—this applies even to digital rewards, as we require this information for tax purposes.
On January 16, we will proceed with locking the completed surveys. This simply means you will no longer be able to make changes to your pledge directly (though you can still reach out to us if you need to fix something). If you want to add items to your order, now is the time.
After locking the surveys, we will also charge cards for any add-ons you may have selected during the Pledge Manager phase. Please note that shipping will be charged closer to fulfillment to reflect current real-world rates. Don’t worry, you will be able to verify and update your final shipping address much later in the process.
Project Status
- Raffaele has completed the Core Book, including all additions unlocked during the campaign. We are now passing the illustration list to our artist, Daniel, who will work on them in the coming weeks. Meanwhile, the Core Book is already undergoing a preliminary editing round, after which I will step in for quality assurance. English translation will begin immediately after that and shouldn’t take too long.
- Raffaele is now moving on to the content unlocked for the Folder.
- I am already coordinating with the factory regarding the production of the maps and bullet dice. Since the manufacturing back-and-forth can take a long time and the specs are already finalized, I felt that starting early was the right move.

Project Update: You get a survey! And you get a survey!
Hello Badasses,
I’ll be brief. The Smoke Test went fairly smoothly. Today, everyone else is receiving their link to the Pledge Manager.
We aim to lock orders by mid-January (so we can send out the existing digital files), so please finalize yours now to get it sorted.
As a reminder, here is the key info from the previous update—it all still applies:
- You can switch pledge levels from the very first screen after clicking the link. It’s a little tucked away, so I’ve included a screenshot below to help.
- Shipping costs will not be shown or charged at this stage. As mentioned during the campaign, we’ll finalize shipping fees later, closer to fulfillment. You can use the price ranges in the campaign as a fairly precise indication (as of today).
- If you add any extras to your order now, your card won’t be charged until we lock the surveys—currently planned for mid January.
- All existing digital rewards will be distributed then.

Project Update: Smoke Tests and Late Pledge Open
Hello Badasses,
We’re now ready to launch the Smoke Test for the Pledge Manager. The Pledge Manager is where you confirm your order, leave your address, and add Add-Ons if you want to (please note that for tax reasons we need your address also for digital only pledges).
Here’s what’s gonna happen:
- Only 5% of backers will receive an email with a link to the Pledge Manager. The selection is handled automatically, and usually includes a good mix of pledge levels, locations, and other variables.
- We’ll monitor how this group navigates the survey to identify any issues or unclear steps.
- Once we’re confident everything is working as it should, the remaining 95% of backers will receive their surveys. I’ll post another update when we’re ready to go live for everyone.
If you don’t receive an email, that just means you’re not part of the test group—nothing to worry about.
For those who do receive the link:

Project Update: The campaign is over, and there's hope for Dirt City
…And that’s a wrap, Badasses.
Just a few lines to say how grateful we are for the way this campaign came to a close, and to give you a quick rundown of what happens next.
First off, some good news: the final Stretch Goal, the Problem Sins of the Fathers, was unlocked in the closing hours and will join the rest of the bonus content in the Folder. (If you missed the synopsis, check the previous update.)
If you haven’t yet, make sure to read the update titled “What happens after the campaign ends”—it covers the basics of what comes next.
We’re now taking a few well-earned days off. Running a campaign for three weeks straight means thinking about Dirt City every waking hour for 21 days. Everyone on the team needs to decompress a bit, do something else, maybe even touch some grass.
We won’t receive the campaign funds for another couple of weeks, and in the meantime, you’ll have time to sort out any issues with your payment. If something’s not working on your end, reach out.
Next week, I’ll start setting up the Pledge Manager. That’s where you’ll confirm your order, give us your shipping details, and optionally add more goodies. Shipping fees will be charged next year, closer to fulfillment, so we can lock in accurate rates. With any luck, the tariff situation in the US will have calmed down by then, too.
Raffaele’s plan is to finish writing the Core Book by Christmas, including the newly unlocked Random Problem Generator, then shift to the rest of the Stretch Goals starting in January. We’ll keep you posted with updates roughly once a month.
