The new books are here, finally. I'd like to apologize to everyone who has been waiting patiently for their copy, and thank you for your patience. The books were shipped again in single wall cardboard, without any interior padding, which I'm really not happy about, but luckily they seem to have survived the trip. This is been a not great experience with Mixam, the printer I've been using, and I'm actively in the process of trying to find a new printer. We'll start shipping out the remaining books today.
Sorry it has taken so long to get the update together; I thought I had sent one, but it was for the BX Bestiary. Long story short is 45 copies of this book arrived damaged from the shipper and I have started the process of getting them to reprint (I ran into the same issue with the Bestiary project I just ran). I have packed and shipped all of the copies that were in good condition, but we still have, I believe, 13 people who have not gotten books. I apologize for the delay; the books were sent, from Canada, in single wall boxes with no other protection. As soon as the replacements come in I'll send them out.
The offset books just showed up. I've sent out a final reminder to lock in addresses, and we'll begin shipping everything out in a few days. Just wanted to send a quick update out to everyone. The offset books have been ordered and are in production. Hopefully I'll be getting a shipping notification this week. I just got the POD proofs in yesterday; the softcover looks great and is ready for approval, the hardcover needed some tweaks. I've resubmitted that, so it may be a few more weeks before I get the proof back.
Since I launched this project there's been a significant change in the cost of printing softcover POD books. If anyone wants to switch over to hardcover let me know; I will be sending out the POD codes for the softcover only today.
Just wanted to drop a quick line to let everyone know that I submitted the print files for both the POD and offset versions to the printers this weekend. It will likely be 3-4 weeks before I get both in. As I'm sure many of you have heard, Drivethrurpg will be significantly raising prices for softcover POD books. I'll post the price change as soon as I find out, and any people who selected the softcover option who might want to switch over to hardcover will be able to do so.
