After finally announcing the print run in the previous update, I have some unfortunate news: following the printing company's initial offer, completing onboarding and getting ready to print, they noticed a mistake in their calculation. While an offer is legally binding, they insisted on increasing the cost of the print, so in order to avoid a legal battle I decided to print the book elsewhere. There's no hard feelings and the mistake was human, but this sadly means that the book will be delayed again. Currently, I expect to receive the books in May, and I'll keep you updated if anything changes.
On a more positive note, the additional time allows me to remove all of the mistakes you have spotted! I took the opportunity to go through the entire file a couple of times to make sure it is as polished as possible.
Furthermore, we're currently working on... - Our webshop! Which you can now visit at https://settingoffpnp.com/shop/ - Making Setting Off! available on DriveThruRPG. - Making Setting Off! available on Roll20, as well as integrating the character sheets into the Roll20 VTT. - Translating the archetypes into german. This will be another step towards a full german translation of the core rules. - The layout for the next adventure, Almost Dragons, which you'll get for free if you're a VIP backer.

Most likely, you just got a notification for the download of the second version of the Setting Off! Core Rules! We've been working hard to find all mistakes and fix them as quickly as possible - a big thank you to everyone who noticed mistakes and let us know via Discord or mail, it has been a huge help!
Just a quick update regarding the print run: I've decided to print the book in Europe, specifically UAB Balto print in Lithuania. The production should start in the next few days, and I couldn't be more excited!
In different news, we're currently working on our online presence! Our website, settingoffpnp.com is now live, though still under construction, and we just launched our itch.io! Until our own webshop goes live, itch.io is the place to be for existing and upcoming releases.
We're back after the holidays - and with exciting news: the Setting Off! Core Rules are finished! We're sending out most of the digital rewards right now, including the core rules, character sheets, archetypes, wallpapers and the soundtrack for early birds.
The only reward missing is the "Almost Dragons" adventure: while the adventure itself is done, it's still missing some final touches by our graphic designers. Once the layout is done, we'll send it out asap!
Now that the core rules are finished, we're ready to get them printed! I've been writing with various printing companies over the past two weeks, and I'm close to making my final decision. Afterwards, it'll take an estimated two months for them to print the books and for me to send them out. I'll try my best to keep you in the loop if anything changes.

It's been a quiet few weeks, but I wanted to take a moment to keep you all updated! Sadly, our graphic designer had to take a break from her work on Setting Off! for health reasons, so we're working with two new designers to finish the layout. There will be a slight delay, but I'm currently looking at mid December for the digital items and January to February for physical items. I apologize for the delay, rest assured that we're working hard to bring you Setting Off! as quickly as possible!
On the bright side, this has given me the opportunity to implement much needed changes, such as new Skill Trees! The core rules will now include: - The Willpower Skilltree: decrease or ignore the effects of conditions! - The Manipulation Skilltree: become an expert at lying and spreading gossip! - The Destruction Spellcasting Skilltree: learn arcane secrets to desintigrate your enemies! - The Technomancy Spellcasting Skilltree: control machines and the flow of information!
And more! The content is not final yet, but please take a look at the Manipulation Skilltree. As for the current state of the game: there's only two creature illustrations missing, then everything will be put together and the core rules will be ready for print! We're a little behind schedule, but we're working hard to get you your goodies as quickly as possible. Meanwhile, I''ve been working on the adventures and fine-tuning the character sheet, so that everything's going to work perfectly once you get your hands on it!
