Hey! I’m Mary, I run Trash Eater Designs. What originally started out as a fursuit/costume business under the name Kyanite Creations way back in 2015 has blossomed into what you see today! Rebranded in 2023 after the name literally came to me in a dream, I feverishly started figuring out my new identity and branding as an artist. Now, my art has reached international audiences! While I still focus mainly on local events, I am expanding and reaching out to shows on the West coast.
With the expansion of my audience in person, I’ve been branching out into bigger, better, and newer products! My latest want is a life-long love of mine: plush! As a fursuit maker, I essentially hand make wearable plush, but this is an entirely different beast to conquer! Please, join me as I traverse the wild world of plush manufacturing. Be here through the process of sampling, manufacturing, and fulfillment! Witness as we bring at least one of my creatures forth from my mind and into the real world!
Up first we have Nom-Nom the Opossum. Named by my eldest daughter, Nom-Nom is my business mascot (read: guinea pig) for whatever product I want to try out. This time, I’m turning him into a marketable plush!
I’ve always been a fan of cuddly creatures and plush, so if you’re anything like me you’ll enjoy this pack of trash eaters!
This project, while only just beginning, has been the most intensive project I’ve ever had! Previously, I’ve made enamel pins and some pin boards through crowdfunding. The pins have been considerably easier! As I have made pins before, I know the manufacturing process. I drew up pins, sent them over for a quote, and just need to give them the “ok” to get started!
The sampling process takes weeks, and that’s so long to wait between updates just for more work to come up once the sample has been drafted.

We’re gonna be generous with shipping times here. The manufacturing process will NOT be quick, and I don’t expect freight to be quick either. Once they’re in hand they’ll be as fast as I can possibly go (if the campaign is more successful than I expect, I will be “hiring” friends and family to lend a hand).
Q4 2026 is the latest I expect things to take, but Q2 2026 is what I’m aiming for. Of course, the sooner I get product in hand the sooner you’ll get yours!
