Project Update: Introducing New Art (and Hayley)!

Hello, folks!

My name is Hayley and I am the new Sales & Marketing Manager at TKG! I'm always caffeinated and today I'm motivated to get you all updated on what's happening with the Prospero's Dream campaign!

First, TKG's own Luke Gearing has been working diligently to bring the three Prospero's Dream books to life. Here's what Luke has to say-

"We're in a final round of developmental editing for Mouths to Feed. This is mostly about punching everything up and making sure we're happy with the shape of things before moving on to me revising all the text. A big chunk of this has been looking at how best to present murder scenes. After that it's off to editing with Jert (editor's note: Jarrett Crader).

Last week I handed in the first draft for God Complex, which Sean is now reading through for a big developmental pass. Then that'll be in the same place.

As part of both, we're collating which elements are better moved off into Living the Dream, the third book of the set."


Along with Luke's update, we also have new art to share!


Getting Closer!


This is a work-in-progress creation by Alec Sorensen. As you may know, Alec is the award-winning artist who designed the pawns for the core set. Below is another WIP piece depicting a Chokespawn.

Horrifyingly Amazing.

Project Update: Production Update, Writing Going Well!

Hey gang,

Hope you all had a good holiday. Sorry I'm a little late getting this update out. Things are going great with Prospero's Dream. Luke has manuscripts out for both Mouths to Feed and God Complex, and those will be going to our editor soon for final notes. Living the Dream is being written now. Layout on the books will start in the beginning of March. House Call has been written and has a first pass on layout finished. The cardstock pawns are being illustrated currently and should be done within the month. We've started work on the poster as well. This part's pretty exciting since we've never really done a full map of the Dream. For us it'll be the first time we've really designed a city in this way. Our goal is to create something that's detailed enough to use in your game, but leaves enough room to slot in adventures and establishments that you design, generate, or pull from other modules set on the Dream. It's a great challenge, but our ship designer has been working on it for months now, so we're excited to bring it to you.

Next up we have the location cards, which we're looking to get art done for. And the warden's screen, which has art well underway and we're collating the tables together for it now. It won't be a repeat of the Core/Deluxe tables, rather it'll be focused on Prospero's Dream specific tables. 

Alright, that's all for now! We're still working on the mega pledge manager, which is pretty complicated. But hopefully more news on that front soon.

Project Update: Happy New Years!

Hey gang,

From all of us at TKG we want to wish you all a Happy New Years and hope you have a wonderful 2026. We're going through the draft of Mouths to Feed now and starting layout on it. We've been getting some new art in from Jan Buragay. See below!



Otherwise, we're working on getting art in for the cards and writing God Complex and Living the Dream. It's gonna be a busy year for us!

Project Update: Last chance to get the Mothership/Mausritter crossover zine

Hey gang,

I just wanted to drop in and let you know that if you haven't already, you should check out Junk City and Mausritter Month. If you backed Prospero's Dream you are still eligible to unlock the free exclusive reward: a double adventure zine for both Mausritter and Mothership.



What does this mean? Essentially if you back both projects you get a free zine with a Mothership adventure written by the Mausritter crew and a Mausritter adventure written by the Mothership crew. These are two brand new one-shot adventures from both teams.

The Mausritter crew has written an adventure set on the RSS Fifum, a research station where everything went south after its lab mice gnawed at a strange alien shard. While the Mothership crew has written an adventure about a satellite splashdown that has caused ...issues in the mouse world.

Both of these adventures are going to be a ton of fun, and a good introduction to both games.I'm a huge fan of Mausritter, and the venn diagram between our two fanbases is basically a circle. We even have third-party creators in both group-collabs (see Norgrad's excellent Eight Short of a Dozen). Not only that, but Mothership wouldn't be where it is without Matt and Cristin from Exalted Funeral. They were the first retailer to purchase Mothership, when nobody else even knew the game existed. They've been huge mentors and companions as we've grown as a company and it's fair to say a big reason we've been as successful as we have been.

So, please give their project a look if you haven't. Mausritter is an amazing game, probably my favorite game to come out of the OSR. If you were ever into Redwall, Watership Down, or Mice & Mystics, it really is the game for you.



I'll be on stream with Isaac and Andre (and I think Andrew from EF this Thursday, December 4th at 5pm EST to talk about both our projects and answer questions as well. Come by and say hi.
