The life of a man-at-arms isn't all that Callan hoped it would be. Instead of fighting great battles like the heroes of old, his days were spent babysitting new recruits and aiding supply caravans. But after uncovering a centuries-old conspiracy, his life of monotony would be quick to change.
Together with a reformed bandit, a usurped prince, a regretful father, and a man who claims to be a wizard, Callan must put his life on the line to seize his dream. But fate is cruel: if Callan leaves home now, there might be nothing left upon his return.
The initial concept for Glorybound is something I came up with back in 2018 while stocking shelves after school. The boredom had grown so strong that I had no other choice but to concoct a whole new world within my head. As time went on, details and characters continued to get added, and something that started to resemble a story had appeared.
In the last seven years, the vision of said story has changed quite a lot, but the heart and soul of it remain the same. Ultimately, I am happy it took me so long to sit down and commit to bringing this story to life, because every small evolution that occurred while the story was fermenting in the back of my mind made it better.
Over the last year I have worked tirelessly to craft this narrative into a completed book, getting it into the hands of a professional editor to ensure the highest quality in an industry that unfortunately isn't always known for such.
Tyranny of Stone is only the beginning of Callan's story, and I look forward to exploring the next steps of his adventures with all of you.
Tyranny of Stone is only the beginning of something much larger. Not only is it the first book in a series, but an expansive universe as well. There are already videos up on Youtube detailing deeper lore, and a tie-in short story up on my website that runs parallel to the book.
That being said, high production quality requires funding. Cover artists, editors, voice actors, additional art, etc. Through my own funds, I was able to put together a high quality product for you to enjoy, but my ambitions are much higher. My goal with this campaign is to fund not only the next book, but to upgrade this book with stretch goals such as hard back editions and an audiobook.
The initial funding goal is to cover the cost of production of the ebook and paperbacks, and additional funds will be redirected into making Glorybound all that it is destined to be.
Final shipping costs will be charged at the end of the campaign, when backer surveys are completed. This process ensures you are not overcharged and I'm not burning all of the raised funds on shipping.
