We Funded Last Night!
The Hunt Begins! πΊπͺπ
Thanks to all of you fine folks pledging and helping us spread the word, we funded last night.
We cannot thank you enough for that. This is a passion ...
Today, I'm here to present the newest piece of art from Tasca Skelton, which will represent the Diamond suit in No Mercy For Monsters. (If you missed the art for the Hearts suit, you can see that here.) Diamonds: The Need
Diamonds are The Needβyour obsession, your desperation, your poisonous connection to the monster youβre hunting.
The Need by Tasca Skelton
Absolutely fucking gorgeous.
Tasca was inspired by several prompts in the suit for this piece, but what she ended up creating sums up the overall tone that runs through the entire game perfectly.
We're in the home stretch on this campaign now, folks, and we could use your help in spreading the word. If you're excited about No Mercy For Monsters, we'd be very appreciative if you'd tell the people in your own social circles about it. Small outfits like ours depend on word of mouth to extend our reach, so every kind word on socials or to your friends who might be interested means the world. π
Thanks again for all of your support, folks!

Other Radness
As we've already funded, we'd like to share the love a little in our updates to other ZiMo projects that we're excited about
It's simply not ZiMo without a cool Borg to back, and Wyatt Trull has delivered with Accursed Deck Scum.
Accursed Deck Scum is an all-new 19+ page Zine for Pirate Borg, written by Wyatt Trull and fully illustrated by Zarch Cardoza. Available digitally and in print-on-demand as an A5 softcoverβthe perfect size to castigate your players with. Slaughter your crew as the Caribbean Werebeast, eat 'em as the Cannibal Cook, or suffer for their benefit as the Living Figurehead, and more!
The Living Figurehead is such a gnarly concept that I absolutely love, but given my current project here, I feel like it slightly betrays the Caribbean Werebeast. You can check them both out on his Kickstarter page and pick your fave for yourself.
I am very, very happy to report that we've now partnered with Ex Stasis Games for this project to fulfill No Mercy For Monsters to our UK Backers! Thanks to these Welsh heroes, our physical shipping for the UK has dropped to an estimatedΒ£3-Β£8. You can check out the updated shipping info here on our front page.
I can't speak about the rad duo behind Ex Stasis Games glowingly enough, just check out their itch page to see some of the fantastic titles that they're responsible forβincluding several Wretched & Alone games, if you're looking for more in a similar vein to No Mercy For Monsters.
After you've perused their catalog, check out their upcoming TTRPG Disposable Bags of Meat. It sounds absolutely fantastic, and I'm sure it will be extremely gnarly in the best possible ways.
Thanks again for all of your support, folks!

Other Radness
As we've already funded, we'd like to share the love a little in our updates to other ZiMo projects that we're excited about.
It took me several excruciating minutes to determine which card I was going to use as the header for this because, between the Dark Crystal-esque art and clever story points, there are several that I'm obsessed with.
Hexploration Decks by Inkwell Ideas add points of interest to any fantasy map and feature art on one side and unusual random tables on the otherβas you can see in the example above. Discover strange defenses, fungal infestations, and ancient mysteries. Some cards add extra properties like being Haunted or a Historic Site. A few cards give guidance to create and explore your setting. (If you want to see how the cards and tiles work together you can check out this video)
Joe of Inkwell Ideas has a long track record of providing system-neutral accessory decks for TTRPGs, and this one looks like it might be his best yet. He's generously provided a HUGE 54-card preview, so you can hit the link below and fall in love just like I did.
I am 100% certain that you've seen folks screaming about PREQUEL before now, but I'm going to add my howl to the chorus. Look at that tagline for God's sake! So rad!
Another surefire banger created by Ethan Yen, PREQUEL is a tactical storytelling game of heroic sacrifice where you play as doomed heroes fighting against their final adversary. Over the course of the game you play out a tactical combat while building the Heroesβ quest using the world, events, and bonds that led the heroes to this point. Although you will not defeat the Evil, you can still leave a legacy for future generations.
This Thursday, at 2 pm EST/ 7 pm MGT, Kat the Lore Mistress will be doing a special solo spotlight of No Mercy For Monsters.
If you're following the project here, you should get a notification about an hour before she kicks things off, but to be double sure you don't miss out (and to see all of the other rad ZiMo highlights she's doing) you can sub to her Twitch page here.
I'll be in the chat, watching and available to answer any questions that any of you might have, so please drop by and help me pray for Kat's woodsman's success in The Hunt. π
As we've already funded, we'd like to share the love a little in our updates to other ZiMo projects that we're excited about. Today, that is The Rook & the Crook by Land of the Blind.
The Rook & The Crook is a non-euclidean system-neutral adventure zine by the maker of Vagabond, Taron "Indestructoboy" Pounds. It was written with Vagabond in mind, but it will work with your fantasy ttrpg of choice and includes advice on how to convert to your favorite systems. (They also have an incredible skateboard deck that you can snag as an add-on that makes me feral.)
