I hope this update finds you well. I’m ever so grateful for your patience and support!
🃏 The last two months have been wild, with so much happening—and not just because I was on a plane every week last month!
🏭 Completion of pre-production has been held up due to some necessary changes to the Survival Guide. I have been taking the additional time required to make sure it delivers everything you and I expect from this essential component of the game.
🐼 I am in regular discussion with Panda and we are now targeting late June. When the Survival Guide is completed I will release the digital version and confirm the delivery time frame.
🏆 TheKing of King’s Poisoner tournament is scheduled for late March, and several fantastic games have already been held in preparation, with more to come—please check the Pause Menu website for details, prizes and giveaways! 🏅
🫅 The King’s Poisoner will be featuring at some upcoming events: Conquest on Easter weekend and Port Play Gaming & Art Festival on May 4th in Melbourne (VIC), as well as TabletopCon25in Brisbane (QLD) on May 24–25th.
💳 There are still a handful of surveys that remain incomplete. Please make sure you have your credit card details filled in correctly, even if your pledge was collected during the campaign, as these will be needed for shipping once production is complete and your survey cannot be completed without them.

📜 Part 1 of the digital release has been sent to all backers at Friends of the Court pledge tier or above. The Core Rules sheet has also been updated and distributed. The new Core Rules make use of the Story Cards and other game components, and are complemented by The King’s Poisoner Survival Guide (on its way in Part 2 of the digital release).

🏆 The King of King’s Poisoner tournament is confirmed for Saturday, February 22nd at Pause Menu Café in Melbourne, Australia! The Road to the Great Game has already begun, with sessions run in December. More games will be scheduled in January and early February, check the Pause Menu website for details!
🏭 I’m still pushing hard to complete pre-production in January. I’ll keep you posted as to the timelines for full production and delivery of the boxed sets and other rewards.

Wow, what a month! Melbourne International Games Week, PAX Australia & SXSW Sydney were incredible and thanks to friends and fans of V2S Games, ARC, Pony Dog Productions & Awakened Fables, The King’s Poisoner and its stage adaptation—The King’s Poisoner LIVE 🎭 —were both a big hit!!
Thanks to these wonderful events, hundreds of new people who’d never heard of The King’s Poisoner have now either played the game, or watched it being played or performed!
I’ve included the link to a sneak peek of the intro/trailer separately, as it’s exclusive to backers only. Hopefully I’ll have a video that’s publicly available for sharing soon!
Digital Release ETA November 📜
With all the time and energy that’s gone into the preparation and production of the stage show and live events, progress on pre-production this month has been slower than anticipated. I had hoped to be able to make up for much of this over the last few days, but there are still several files that need updating, correction or revision.
As a result, the Full Digital release will now be in November, with more details to follow asap. My apologies to all Friends of the Court and digital only backers, please know that I’m doing my utmost to get you the PDFs as quickly as possible.
Though production will now extend into January, I’m hopeful that the delivery ETA for both the Standard & Deluxe Edition boxed sets will remain unchanged and I'll be working with Panda GM (who have been great!) over the next couple of weeks to confirm the timeline.
Locking Orders Extended to November 7th!🎺
I’ve extended the deadline so that everyone has a little more time to finalize their orders and take advantage of the crazy discounts.
Remember, once orders are locked you won’t be able to make any changes or pick up extra copies or backer-only accessories for delivery as a part of this campaign.
