We present eight different, but closely related, designs of enamel pins inspired by the iconic anthropomorphic cat drawings of Louis Wain. This is a preview of the result being made. There may be slight changes during creation.
1. ‘Cats from North America’
The design features an anthropomorphic cat dressed as a Native American warrior, complete with a detailed feathered headdress, skillfully drawing a bow. Tucked behind some rocks in a lush forest setting, two smaller kittens peek out with wide-eyed curiosity.
2-3. ‘Golf Balls. Stymied.’
The design is based on the artist’s humorous "Golf Balls. Stymied" series, featuring a wide-eyed, expressive kitten depicted in Wain’s signature playful and humorous style.
4. ‘Keep Off the Grass’
The design, titled "Keep Off the Grass",features a sophisticated, ginger-furred cat dressed in classic Victorian attire, including a black top hat, a grey frock coat, a patterned waistcoat, and checkered trousers.
5. ‘I Like It!’
The design, titled "I Like It!", features a charming ginger tabby cat with wide, expressive eyes, joyfully drinking from a small carton through a straw.
6. ‘Scouting through the wood’
The design, titled "Scouting Through the Wood" features a whimsical, anthropomorphized black-and-white cat dressed in full scout regalia, including a wide-brimmed sombrero, a bright orange neckerchief, and a sturdy walking staff.
7. ‘Electric Cat’
This striking enamel pin features the iconic 'Electric Cat' by Louis Wain, a masterpiece of psychedelic art that captures the artist's unique late-period style. The design showcases a wide-eyed, vibrant feline surrounded by jagged, multi-colored "electric" auras in shades of purple, yellow, and red, symbolizing intense energy and movement.
8. 'Billiards'
'Billiards'. Wain depicts a group of large-eyed, expressive felines engaged in a lively game of pool. The scene captures a ginger cat mid-shot, surrounded by intense blue and calico spectators under glowing green lamps, showcasing Wain's incredible skill at blending feline physicality with human-like social humor.
You will not be charged unless the campaign successfully reaches its funding goal of $400. You can adjust your pledge amount at any time before the campaign concludes. There may also be a slight grace period for final adjustments.
Once the campaign is complete, surveys will be sent out for you to select your preferred designs. You'll also receive regular updates on production and fulfillment progress.
