We just wanted to send out a quick update. The Dark Council has just returned from Midwinter Con where we terrorized players new and old. We had the chance to playtest some new adventures, fine-tune some more polished adventures, and flex the boundaries of the game mechanics. Next up for us is Gary Con in Lake Geneva, WI. More on that in a future update.
Work continues on the HCC core rulebook. We've had the pleasure of working with artist, Joey Docil. He's been working on some art for our character classes. Check out his work:

But enough about us, for now. Our friends at Dragon Peak Publishing is partnering with the talented Julian Burnick to go where no one has gone before. They are releasing a 10th level adventure for Dungeon Crawl Classics. The 10th Doomstar is launching on Backerkit in a few days. Check it out here and consider following and backing this amazing project.

Our New Year's themed adventure, Legion on the Lakefront, is almost ready for release. We are putting a few finishing touches on it and collecting some additional art and then we'll be sending it out to those who sent us pictures of you and your group playing Do You Know Where Your Children Are? We'll be making it available for purchase on DriveThru RPG sometime afterwards.
In the meantime, the Dark Council continues to plug away at making the core rulebook a reality. We'll be doing another update soon to showcase an artist, new to Wayward Studios, who will be breathing life into our character classes.

We also have the character sheet/pregens issue sorted out. You should have received an email with the new sheets. We also have character sheets available for download on our website here. Please keep us posted if you discover any other issues.
And don't forget to send us pics of your HCC games. Eric is already working on the holiday adventure.
By now our backers should have received the pdf copies of the quick start rules and the adventure, Do You Know Where Your Children Are?. It was brought to our attention by one of our sharp-eyed backers that we sent six sets of pregenerated character sheets that was actually six sets of the same 4 characters. That has been fixed and you should now have the proper array of pregens to play with.
Please don't hesitate to reach out with anything else that seems wrong. Please note that the character sheets are a work in progress and we will be sending updated ones as we create them. For example, the 0 level sheets have a stat called Resolve. That mechanic was abandoned, but didn't get removed from the sheet. Also, the 0 level sheets have a spot for Gloaming. Gloaming and tapping into the Darkness is generally reserved for leveled characters, so can be ignored for 0 level play.
In addition, we will be opening our Pre-order store shortly here on Backerkit. More about that in a future update.
