I've got lots to update on finally, so let's dig in!
First of all I want to apologize for the lack of smaller updates! I've gotten a few messages via various sources worried about the state of Purrfect Eats, but don't worry! I'm still here working away behind the scenes on getting everything ready!
Right after the campaign ended I have been busy with two conventions ontop of other work and wanting to make sure I looked everything over, over and over again, it took me longer to make this update post and for that I apologize!
I always try to be transparent about my work and what can cause delays in updates and ultimately I felt like I didn't have ENOUGH to update on to post much until I had things ready for more concrete, here is what's going on, but after talking to quite a few of you it sounds like it would be much more preferred for smaller updates more often than big ones just so it also shows that I'm still here! Working away on the project you loved enough to support (and for that it means the world to me! <3)!
BUT without any more delay, let's talk about where we're at!
Smoke Tests have been sent out! A few backers have received their surveys as the first wave of testing! This is to make sure that everything is as it should be, no one is getting weird charges, weights are getting calculated correctly, and shipping is adding up like it should!
Once those smoke test surveys have been answered and any stray issues are resolved, the rest will be sent out! This will give me a good ballpark of final numbers to order for each design.
As for where the pins are at? I've been working on getting the colors just right and files sent to the manufacturer! They are first getting formatted for the pin making process! As soon as I have a good idea of how many of each design we'll need they will head into full production and I'm stoked to get to share that process with you soon!
Stickers have also been finalized and ordered in a smaller batch for events to get to talk about these upcoming pins, as well as make sure I've got them all ready to go so as soon as I have the pins in hand I can ship out all of the orders ASAP! I haven't gotten any good photos of them yet, but hope to try and take some as soon as the sun is shining a bit more to really show off the crisp colors!
And last but not least, while simple, I'm working on finalizing the backing card for each pin, the back will have some basic pin care info, but the front of the card will match the cute menu style graphics I've been using during the campaign!
I've always loved the idea of square cards for pins so getting to use the design from the campaign as the backing card was too perfect to pass up.
