Wispwood has long been steeped in magic, giving the forest a life and light of its own. At its edges, the touch of magic is subtle; the leaves cling to their branches long after other trees have shed their foliage, and at night, the air is filled with glowing specks of blue-lavender light that drift slowly in the breeze. Deeper within the forest, the trees take on new, unnatural tones; indigo and violet, midnight and lavender. They pulse with veins of light running through their bark, the glowing heartbeat of the forest. Beneath the shelter of their boughs, clusters of bluebells and snowdrops glitter in the shadows. Wisps, the vague figures sketched in colorful light for whom the forest is named, illuminate the path for weary travelers and Wispwood residents alike, throwing off both heat and light like tiny suns.
The forest is far from silent; the rush of the great river and its web of streams remind travelers to drink deeply of the crystal-clear waters; songbirds trill silvery melodies in the upper reaches of the great trees, to be answered by the voices of crows, ravens, and doves. On the forest floor, little feet scurry through the leaf litter as the residents of Wispwood go about their lives, filling the forest with voices as they call greetings and exchange news with their neighbors. They're a cheerful lot; it's not uncommon to hear strains of music and song floating through the trees at all hours. Every hearth has room for one more traveler, one more wanderer; every burden is taken up, shared by many eager paws.
Wispwood shares every joy and every sorrow, for nobody should stand alone. There are no strangers here, only friends.

Wispwood is my own little creation, inspired from a lifetime consuming literature, games, and movies where at their core, are about the magic of adventure and following your heart, and Wispwood is a collection of simply that! A fantasy world where all those living in it are out to chase their story and find a place of belonging.
