I asked this in the discord and didn’t really see any response to it. So I figured I’d try it here.
Looking at Add-ons, for the digital tactical maps. I want to make sure that I get those, and it's not *very* clear if they're included at any level. I'm also not very sure how long the surveys are going to be open for adding in those add-ons.
Are they included in the DM level pledge or are they only available as add-ons?
If so, are there only going to be the two books that are currently listed, or is that all there is at the moment, with more to come later? It would be just my luck I only order those two, and find a 3rd or even 4th book was added after the fact and I end up missing it somehow.
For the Print versions of these maps, what happens if I order them, and they aren't unlocked?
The goal to unlock them is 350 orders for each, but they're both sitting below 20 orders (when I originally wrote this on discord), which doesn't seem very promising, though I know it can change swiftly.
Is that simply not charged until the order goal is met, or am I refunded once they're determined to not be unlocked?

Many of you are new to crowdfunding, and we're super grateful to have you here! So what are these surveys? This is a vital part of the crowdfunding process, where we gather important information from you, confirm your pledge, and so on. The key components are:
Confirming your order
Customizing your order with Add-ons
Giving us your shipping information
The surveys are required; we cannot deliver anything until they are done.
So please, take some time and fill out your survey! This ensures we can stay on schedule and get you your goods!
Post Campaign Stretch Goals
In your survey, you will have an opportunity to customize your order. We have several add-ons available that were NOT in the campaign. The way these post-campaign stretch goals work is that if you add them to your pledge in the survey, or someone adds them in the pre-order store, it builds towards unlocking them for everyone! You will only be charged if the items are unlocked; if they are not, they will be removed from your cart.
These include Book 3 and Four of the Foundry VTT module, AND a massive pack of printed TACTICAL dungeon crawl maps. These differ from the included regional maps because these are actual 1x1-inch squares. Remember, this dungeon is MASSIVE.
Book 2 needed some additional time to gain experience and level up, so we are releasing Book 3 for the next phase of the Beta. Watch your email for details!

I didn't receive the beta content. Check your email and spam filter for emails from [email protected]
Why didn't I receive a survey? The 3 most common causes of this are (1) Your Backerkit email is not your main email, the survey will go to the email associated with your Backerkit account. (2) The email from Backerkit is in your spam folder. (3) You are using Pay-in-Four and it hasn't been sent yet.

Smoke Tests
We have been hard at work developing the World's Largest Survey! This is a vital part of crowdfunding, where we collect information like your shipping address, confirm your pledge, and allow you to make adjustments to your add-ons.
A smoke test sends this survey to 5% of backers, allowing us to ensure everything is working properly before sending it to everyone. All you need to do is watch your email and follow the prompts.
If you are in the 5%, it's essential that you complete your survey promptly. We can't send the survey to everyone else until the smoke test is completed, so please take a moment to complete yours! All the delvers thank you!
If you have already backed the project, this is of interest to you because of the new stretch goals we have added, and you may want to share with your friends!

Beta Test Update! Book 1 REGIONAL Maps
If you are a backer, you received an email with the Book 1 Beta Test last week. Thank you to everyone who has participated! We've got about 150 comments so far that we are parsing through. Many of you requested the accompanying Book 1 Regional Maps, and those are included below in the backer-only section below.
We are on track to release Book 2 Beta next week! However, as always, please understand that quality will be our top priority, and these plans are subject to change.

In order to keep things moving ahead at a good pace, we have emailed you access to the first beta. We had tried to move ahead with a much expedited survey phase, but we ran into a couple of technical blocks - mainly, the Pay-in-Four backers cannot enter the pledge manager until the funding is complete. To bypass that, we're sending out these beta deliverables via email.

Feedback for BOOK 1 is open for TWO WEEKS ONLY. We are accepting submissions starting NOW and through July 29th.
We will open similar two week feedback periods for further books, not necessarily in order, after Book 1 feedback closes.
Delivery of the final, print-quality, PDFs will occur closer to physical book delivery when our books are finalized and match their physical versions. We are aiming for September, but this could flex depending on how much is found during this beta phase. Quality will always come first.
The survey and late pledge/pre-order store is still in development and will be coming out soon. It's been slightly delayed due to a couple of aforementioned technical blockers. We'll update as soon as that is ready!
