Step into the world of Jane Austen’s beloved novel with Pride & Prejudice - The Courtship Card Game, a delightful blend of romance, strategy, and deduction. Pride & Prejudice - The Courtship Card Game delivers a dual-mode experience that captures the wit and romance of Jane Austen’s classic, offering two unique paths to victory:

Trait Challenge Mode – A Battle of Attributes

Objective:
Compete to collect the most cards by strategically predicting which trait—Pride or Prejudice—on your drawn Character Card holds the highest score.
Components:
  • 20 Character Cards: The same set used in Courtship Mode, each featuring two attributes (Pride and Prejudice) scored between 0–100. For example, Mr. Darcy boasts 95 in Pride and 75 in Prejudice, while Elizabeth Bennet features 65 and 80 respectively.
Gameplay & Strategy:
  • Setup: Shuffle the Character Cards and place the deck face-down. Players start with empty hands.
  • Turn Structure:
    • Draw & Reveal: Each player draws a card and places it face-up.
    • Guess a Trait: Choose whether your card’s strongest attribute is Pride or Prejudice.
    • Score Comparison:
      • The player whose selected trait yields the highest score wins the round and collects all the drawn cards.
      • In the event of ties, the rules adapt—if two players tie, both claim the cards, while specific tiebreaker rules come into play with larger ties.
  • Tactical Play:
    • Balance risk and reward when deciding which trait to back.
    • Use memory and deduction to track which cards have been played, enhancing your chances in future rounds.
    • Adapt your strategy in tie-breaker situations to maintain your edge.

Courtship Mode – Master the Art of Matchmaking

  • Objective:
Collect matching sets to outpace your opponents. In this mode, your goal is to form two complete sets—each consisting of one Relationship Card paired with the two corresponding Character Cards.
    Components:
      • 20 Character Cards: Featuring key figures such as Elizabeth Bennet, Mr. Darcy, Jane Bennet, Mr. Bingley, and others (each available in two copies).
      • 10 Relationship Cards: Showcasing iconic couples from the novel (each relationship appears twice).
    • Gameplay & Strategy:
      • Setup: Shuffle the entire deck and deal 5 cards to each player.
      • Turn Structure:
        • Draw: Begin your turn by drawing one card from the deck.
        • Hand Management: If your hand exceeds 9 cards, you must discard one card of your choice—making strategic discarding essential.
        • Set Formation: Reveal your match when you hold a Relationship Card and the two corresponding Character Cards.
      • Tactical Play:
        • Discard wisely to avoid inadvertently aiding your opponents.
        • Employ bluffing and deduction by guessing which sets your competitors are forming.
        • Act quickly—the limited supply of cards intensifies the race to complete your sets.

Dual-Mode Experience

Whether you prefer the tactical set collection of Courtship Mode or the analytical challenge of Trait Challenge Mode, Pride & Prejudice - The Courtship Card Game offers an engaging blend of romance and rivalry. Enjoy a game where strategy, deduction, and a dash of literary charm collide—perfect for both casual players and strategic enthusiasts.
