Project Update: Sept/Oct Fulfillment Update
Adam checking in—you’ll notice Jordan isn’t writing this update. He tore his ACL and recently had surgery, so he’s been out of commission while recovering. I’m stepping in to keep things moving forward.
We need to address a recent complication: as we work to finalize shipping, our fulfillment partner has informed us they can’t accommodate the DDP shipping we’d planned for our EU backers. This means an unexpected change to how international orders will be handled, and we’re sorry for this additional hiccup as we work to get your games delivered.
Here’s where we stand:
Shipping Quotes Coming Next Week
We’re finalizing the shipping quote from our fulfillment partner, and you should expect to see the shipping amount added to your order next week. We’ll send another update with detailed instructions on how to complete your payment.
Once we’ve collected the shipping fees, we’ll forward everything to our fulfiller, and they’ll begin packing and shipping your orders out.
Important Notes for International Backers
For Non-US, Non-EU Backers:
Your orders will ship DDU (Delivered Duty Unpaid), which means you will be the importer of record. Depending on your local jurisdiction, you may be responsible for import duties, taxes, or customs fees when your order arrives in your country.
For EU Backers:
We initially planned to collect VAT from you and remit it on your behalf so your orders would arrive with no additional charges. Unfortunately, our fulfillment partner has informed us they are unable to ship DDP (Delivered Duty Paid).
This means your orders will also ship DDU, and you will be the importer. We understand this isn’t ideal, and we sincerely appreciate your flexibility and understanding as we navigate these logistics.
What’s Next?
- Next week: Shipping costs will be added to your BackerKit order
- Following update: We’ll provide detailed payment instructions
- After payment collection: Orders get sent to our fulfiller for packing and shipping
- Then: Tracking numbers start going out!

I received my shipping notice tonight. It says it should be here Saturday via USPS.

I received my package earlier this week and opened it today to put everything away. My Gnome Nook arrived damaged out of the box. The left flap is completely torn off. :( Everything else looked great though! I am looking forward to getting the expansions on the table.

I finally got my email notification that my game has shipped. I suspected that it was on it's way because I got an email from USPS saying that I had a package on it's way, but I wasn't sure who it would say the shipper was. For those of you that are wondering, they are shipping from Michigan and the Postal Service will title it as "Auctane Shipstation".
