I plan to honor free Early Bird stickers for all non-U.S. backers, regardless of when you pledge! Since it was my fault you weren't able to back on day one, and this update is getting pushed out pretty late in the evening for you guys.

Hello all! I'm dropping in with four FINAL 🤯 prototypes and one single round 2 pic. We're nearing the homestretch for the prototyping phase AAAAH!!
These came to me a little more staggered over the last few weeks. I posted them as I received them in the Discord server (linked below 💜), but waited to compile them all in a bigger update for Backerkit to save your email inboxes.
⚠️ Friendly reminder for everyone that if you don't like how your chosen plush is looking in these photos, please wait until I receive the final prototypes in person! ⚠️
I can take my own pics in natural lighting, as well as have them all beside each other for comparison. I know it's super easy to get discouraged when the plush isn't meeting your idea of them in the manu photos, but you gotta trust the process 🤞🏻

I love this fur color combo SO much more for Gizmo, it matches their art pretty spot-on!! I've also ordered a fabric sample book from my manu to avoid getting tricked by factory lighting swatches again 🫵🏻
Their eye placement is also PERFECT! It's what I originally wanted for Patchkins, but I was told early on that it would be too close to the muzzle. I'm gonna see if future Patchkins (after this campaign) can all have this eye placement because it's so adorable to me 🥹
Round 2 Prototypes

Just need to shrink the nose embroidery, it was a bit too large this time! Since it's such a minor revision, I'll just wait to share Lune's final prototype until I get them all in the mail :)
New Projects

Patchkins Plushies Redux: The campaign for Rowan, Teacup, and Jolly! We have a tentative launch date for Pintopia 2027, but if the original Patchkins haven't been fulfilled by then (unlikely), then I will push it back. I will hopefully get their prototypes done beforehand so they'll be able to be put into production immediately after surveys close!
Puppysaurs Pins Series 2: Another campaign to fund designs that didn't unlock the first time, plus a few new ones if we're lucky! Will be launching as part of Beasts & Botanicals on April 23rd and will also be cross-collabing with Paleo Pals!
Poncho's Pride Pins: A pride campaign that I'm super excited about! Will be launching as part of Pride Parade/Queerly Made on May 26th.
Next scheduled Patchkins update—Once I receive the prototypes in person for their final glamour shots! Estimating by the end of April 💜
This will also be the time when I will announce the date for closing the Pre-Order Store and surveys, charge for all items added during surveys, and get the final counts for production! This should be around the time when POT backers will be making their final payments, so no worries on being left out :)

Misc. Info/Updates
The prototypes are a work-in-progress and are NOT the final product, so please be respectful with your comments and trust the process. I want to be able to share the prototype process with backers to prove that there is actually work being done behind the scenes! Please be kind in the comments so I can continue doing so, and refrain from critiques if at all possible :)
I've decided to remove the stretch goal items from the surveys/Pre-Order Store since we likely won't meet the minimums needed for production. I'm moving Rowan, Teacup, and Jolly to their own future campaign. I'll be able to have their prototypes done after we get this campaign's plush into production.
Pledges without plush will be able to ship after plush go into production! Sadly, I can't separate pledges in the backend to charge shipping for specific groups, so this is the earliest I'll be able to do so.
Round 2 prototype pics are expected around April 15th (stc). EDIT 4/15/26: Currently waiting on round 2 pics for Taffy and Kipper. The others have been received and are queued for the next update. Unless something else happens, this is around when you can expect the next update. Updates will be cross-posted from the Discord server, which is now open and linked below for backers to join 💜
Stickers and keychains have arrived!
Adoption certificates & enamel pin backing cards have arrived!
I received a sample photo of the dango embroidery keychain, which is now approved for production.
Enamel pins have had their color checks approved and they're entering production.
Trap card keychains are also in production.

Keep in mind these photos are taken in factory lighting, which can make colors look darker/washed out/etc.!

The biggest changes between them all for round 2 will be Gizmo's fur colors. We went with the winner of the poll for round 1, but sadly it turned out looking wayyy too dark compared to their more pastel art. We're trying the other, more pastel-looking set for round 2, so we'll see how it turns out. I'm hopeful!🤞🏻

You should've gotten an email from me a few days ago if this applies to you. This is your final warning.
Disclaimers: In order to see if your pledge can be successfully charged through your survey before this date, your survey must be locked even if you requested to not lock your survey. Neither I nor Backerkit staff can unlock your order after it's been charged through the survey. BUT I am still able to edit your survey choices manually (but I can't add or remove add-ons). If this applies to you and you want to edit your choice(s) after prototypes but find your survey to be locked, please email me at [email protected] and I'll make the edit for you.
If you completed your survey with a failed payment and added more add-ons, your initial charge will include all of those add-ons. I caught this on a few pledges and did a partial refund of the discrepancy between your initial pledge amount and your add-ons amount. It's currently unknown to me if I'll be able to charge you again for those add-ons before production.I’ve confirmed that I will be able to. I'm very sorry for the inconvenience. I'm just working with what Backerkit's Pledge Manager allows me to do (which, I'm finding out, is very little and it's incredibly frustrating).
I was told "backers will have a chance to fix their failed payments in surveys," but I was not told about all these caveats. Needless to say, this has been a huge, stressful headache. In future campaigns, failed payment pledges will not receive surveys until they fix their payments.

Completing your survey sooner than later will only help give me a rough idea of manufacturing numbers. It will also show me how many people are interested in the stretch goal plush (Rowan, Teacup, and Jolly)! The sooner they unlock through surveys, the sooner they can be put into production with the others :)
Surveys won't close until all plush have prototypes! You're free to change your choices as prototypes are updated (as long as you don't select to lock in your choices in the survey).
POT Backers: You will qualify for the survey freebie if you fill out your Backerkit survey within a week of paying off your pledge! I also emailed POT backers who have confirmed first payments a Google Form link over the weekend as an unofficial survey to let me know your intended choices. Thank you to those who have already filled it out!
Failed payment backers are also able to correct their payment information in the surveys. Please fix your payments ASAP or risk your pledge getting canceled!

There was an issue with the UK not being a shipping option when surveys first went out. No idea what caused it, but it's been fixed! Sorry for the inconvenience 😭
There was also an issue where a plush pledge level did not automatically apply the dango keychain freebie. I've gone through and manually added it to those pledges.
If you are a non-plush tier but you add-on a plush in the survey, I will manually add the dango keychain to your pledge before shipping!
