Joseph Schmalke is a comics creator, writer, and illustrator residing in Westbrook, Maine. Joe is the artist and writer on several comic book titles including SEVEN YEARS IN DARKNESS, WE DON’T KILL SPIDERS, ONE LAST TRICK, THE INFERNAL PACT, CHERRY BLACKBIRD, THE ELECTRIC BLACK (co-creator/writer and artist), and MURDER HOBO (created and written by). Most recently, Joe launched his own company-- MIDNIGHT FACTORY, a creator-owned comics publisher focused on horror, sci-fi, and the bizarre.
