I'm Amanda Makepeace, an award-winning illustrator, artist, poet, and life-long wanderer. Through my art I explore the themes of nature, magic, and lore. You may know me from the Dragon Con Art Show, the Bird Whisperer Project, and the Changeling Artist Collective. In 2020, I made the decision to return to my first love, graphite. Creating the drawings I do, feels like a meditation--communing with the energy and message nature has for us. I want to share that through my art, help build a bridge for people to rekindle a connection with the land and feel how we are all related. We are all family.

I try to extend this way of thinking to everything I create outside my drawings. I love creating eco-friendly merch, like wooden pins! I'm also passionate about natural history and sketching. So keep an eye for new projects! When I'm not in the studio, I might be out wandering in the woods or curled up with a good book!
