I do have one more exciting announcement -- I will be vending at a VIRTUAL con this weekend that all of you are welcome to attend for FREE! It's so cool and I'm excited to be part of a really cool emerging option for artists to get their stuff in front of folks!

Despite my best efforts, I am still working on fulfilling my new goal is to finish before the end of July, with emphasis on shooting for the second/third week. At the end of the day, I am just one person who works a full-time job and works on my side business, dreaming of it one day be my all. Sometimes my close friends or family give me a little help, but most of the time it's just me. Getting up a whole hour earlier to get things prepped so when I get home from my full-time job I can immediately get into doing more fulfillment. Plus, I was out of town the last two weekends in a row. This is just to explain myself, for those curious.

I wanted to drop a quick update that the pins are shipping soon! I should hopefully have them in hand by the end of the month, and shipping out to you by mid August at the latest. There was a small delay because we had to fix one of the designs, and I want to make sure these pins are perfect for you all!

Wanted to share that i have stuffed all of the packages. And will be shipping them this week.
I got sick as a dog right after my last update and i didn't want to spread my illness (idk what it was but i think it could have been covid; covid test was negative though).
I'm starting to feel better today and i have hired help coming Thursday to help me do all the shipping labels and double check the packages before mailing. There was a small error in the way backerkits surveys show the freebie pins so to double check to make sure everyone is getting their freebies. (good thing for the delay on shipping as they alerted me of this just a couple of days ago)
Packages are shipping soon and you'll be getting your pins! Thank you for everyone who supported this project.
All the pledges that did not include the currently in production Ouroboros and Babayaga pins have been shipped. Don't have more news on those yet outside of that.
Otherwise that pretty much it. Please make sure to double check your items and let me know at [email protected] for any problems! Backerkit support emails like to go to spam and sometimes I forget to check it. Easiest way to get in contact with me is my email. Just make sure to include what email or name was used for the pledge so I can quickly reference it!

Firstly, I would like to apologise for any confusion that went on with your surveys! I added the free birthday sticker to everyone's orders so I wouldn't forget to include it, but that messed up the surveys a little, so it was saying they were unfinished, even though they were locked.
I had to manually go through everyone to fix the issue, but they should all be sorted now!
If it says your survey isn't finished, simply click through the survey again and confirm everything and it should fix the issue. if theres any other issues, please let me know and I will try and get it sorted for you.
There's also been some big changes to EU shipping, thanks to new regulations. This only affects countries in the European Union and not non-union countries. Important note to EU buyers: If you are in the European Union, there are new changes that have just come into effect; the sales tax will now need to be included when we charge shipping (which is 17-27% of the total value of the items depending where you live) alongside an additional duty and handling fee, which will be included in your shipping as well. The additional tariff wont be added until we are ready to ship.
this is a very new change and we will keep you informed if it changes.
European Union shipping estimate: £14-16 + sales tax
Sadly, this increase is nothing I can do about and may result in us not being able to ship to the EU in the future, but only time will tell.
Finally: we are still waiting on the last pin. -I contacted the manu a few weeks ago and they said it would be a high priority but still don't have any news on when it'll be shipped to us.
we are in the process of shipping all the unaffected orders from the other campaign (mythological beasts) and Ill post another update, hopefully in just a few weeks to let you know when the last pride pin has arrived and we are about to charge shipping.
I wanted to let you all know real quick that I've packed all but 3 orders from this campaign, and the rest should be going out within 1-2 weeks!
I also reached out to Backerkit recently because a few folks reported that they should have recieved one of the 3+ campaign backed freebies for A Pin of Pride. As it turns out, there was a bug on the backend that didn't add them for the incentives to your orders. I have a list of who this impacted and will be sending out the freebie pins soon!

And finally, for next year's Pintopia, I'm doing a sequel to this year's Pintopia campaign, 64 Bit Memories. That campaign was centered around N64 games, and I polled my backers there to see what they would like to see as a sequel. I'm excited to share that the Pin of Pride pins all arrived with me this week and I'm in the process of quality-checking and backing them!

Those of you with very good eyes may notice that there's been a minor change to the rainbow-plated pins: they've all had clear epoxy added to them to give them a smooth finish so that they look more like hard-enamel.
This was an accident on my part tbh! I ordered these at the same time as having to reorder all my Pintopia pins due to manufacturing issues and at some point in discussions I mentioned that all the rainbow-plated pins for that project needed epoxy for consistancy because some of them are being screenprinted.
It looks like my rep misinterpreted this as meaning aaaaall the rainbow-plated pins in my order needed epoxy, not just the sea creatures. 😅
Totally my fault for not being precise enough in my instructions but I have to admit I rather like the look and feel of these pins with epoxy added and I'm hoping most of you will consider this an upgrade to the designs. Please do drop me a message if you're not happy about the change.
