Now that this campaign is fully, and FINALLY, wrapped up - I will not be coming back to check on any comments/discussion posts left on here. The notification system is jank so previously I was having to come back regularly to see if anything new was posted (this is the case with all campaigns...). So please do email me if you have questions/comments/concerns. That's not to say you can't or shouldn't say anything here! Just that for whatever reason... I am unlikely to be notified of it.
As I was fulfilling these last orders, I was hit in the gut with the realization some of them should have gone out in the FIRST wave months ago, because they fit all criteria to be sorted into that segment (no "wood" or machine 2 spins, or catmoths) yet the system didn't put those pledges in it. It was 3 people and I feel terrible about it. I double-checked the pledges and there's no explanation for why they were excluded.
This sort of error has happened to me before with backerkit's pledge manager, where pledges that fully fall under the search filter still somehow don't get sorted correctly... So if (hopefully not!!!) a future campaign has enough road blocks to where something like this happens again, I will more thoroughly check to make sure everything is included that should be. This is also a slight plea that if you think something is particularly wrong or not as I've been communicating, to please reach out to me (via the email above) to figure out what's up. I am never intentionally misleading, but always exhausted with bad brain fog and may miss things, so if something is wonky I will need it pointed out to me to be able to address it.
The receipt with tracking for all 53 packages today is longer than a CVS receipt!
Just a super quick update: I finally got the last remakes today and they're great! I can start shipping again and they should FINALLY be all fulfilled by end of this month. Some of you still pending are combined with fulfillable paw pledges so I've been gradually tackling those and refunding the excess shipping charge as I do.
Since I have to hop into overdrive on this I don't think I'll have my shop reopened at all before Tekko but that's okay.

We're excited to announce that all of the Phoenix pins have arrived! We will be beginning fulfillment over the next week or so as we'll be going through the batch of pins and making sure we only send out the very best.

Overall, we're happy with the production of the pins, but our manufacturer did have some trouble getting the blue glass ring around the miniature pin due to the sizing. It still came out super cute though!
We're waiting on one more piece before we start shipping, but that should arrive in the next day or two. We found some pretty fun colored bubble mailers, so expect your Phoenix to arrive in style.

So now what? You have 2 weeks to fix any failed payment methods or issues! After that the surveys will go out! Surveys will close on December 1st. The survey will give you the option to let me know if you want to be charged immediately or when the survey closes. As I know a few people on my last survey wanted to be charged immediately for budget reasons and others wanted to wait until the survey closed to get paid!

Hey folks! I had a medical scare on my end right when I got ready to ship things. I have the labels ready to be printed again, and I’m going to get them printed elsewhere because my printer prints, but only in the color green and the labels can’t be scanned. With the severe winter weather in my area right now, there may be delays in them coming to you, but I’ll try my best to get them out ASAP. My new job at the hospital takes a lot of time out of my day, but things are in motion. International orders still need labels, and those should be made sometime in the next two weeks. We want to begin with an apology for the long silence. Things have been incredibly volatile in the lives of many of our staff, especially that of our project manager who handles all the updates and team coordination.
Things started with multiple hospitalisations in 2024 due to lung issues that were finally determined to be a combination of: acute hypoxemic respiratory failure, lung parenchyma with mild interstitial chronic inflammation and organising pneumonia, with long term hypersensitivity pneumonitis and reactive airway disease. Atop that, a constant high white blood count led to being assigned an oncologist and given a possible leukaemia diagnosis pending a bone biopsy that the oncologist is currently delaying due to other health factors and surgeries happening.
They then endured violence from former housemates in the spring that resulted in a restraining order that said persons then broke to ensure the death of our staffer's senior kitties. For health and safety, our project manager had to move; and then was forced to undertake a second move under incredibly short notice a week prior to having full hip replacement surgery in October due to a breakdown of relationship dynamics. Then there was of course, said surgery, which they are still in recovery from - it takes about a year to return to full functionality but most of the critical healing takes place in the first four months. They are currently safe, but have another (unrelated) major surgery in February and have to move again in March or April when their current housing situation is changing.
On top of this, our layout person for a previous major project became gravely ill and bedridden since July (right after they had begun to work on Keepsakes) - unable to even sit upright due to pain. In August they were diagnosed - stage 4 Cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer) - started in the liver and progressed into their spine. September was the start of chemo, but a bad reaction to the first dose landed them in the hospital, and ketoacidosis kept them there for weeks. October and November had them in rehab, and they were finally cleared to go home and resume chemo this month, though they are still not at a point where they can resume work in any manner. We have finally retained a new layout person in the interim, and they are working hard to get Keepsakes into a state where it can be released.
The Paragon Tarot pins are fully designed and approved, and most have completed production. Our manus are retaining hold of them while we wait and weather through all these tariff changes imposed by the Trump administration on goods coming from China. We refuse to pass those cost increases on to you, but that in turn means waiting longer to ensure we can afford the cost changes. We expect costs to stabilise during quarter one of 2026, and will have our manus ship us the remaining pins at that time. We do have some designs in hand, and will be endeavouring to ship those out beginning January 2026 for those whose orders include only those designs.
We have other projects in the works and in various stages of completion, including other enamel pins, tarot cards, playing cards, and two ttrpg books that went through crowdfunding. The Paragon 5e supplement is nearly completed; we expect it to be ready for release in the first quarter of 2026. The related Paragon tarot deck now has completed major arcana art. Our merch mogul is hard at work on the minor arcana now, but that is a lot of cards so it will likely complete by quarter three of 2026. Troubleseekers ttrpg and accompanying card deck is well underway. The writing and editing is completed, we just await one more piece of interior art and the cover from our artist - who is still helping his children recover from a horrible accident that happened earlier this year - after which it will move to layout. The card deck is with our other artist, who has completed the card back and is working now on the design of the card faces.
And in the meantime, our game designers are participating in some game jams and working on other long term projects. You can find the game jams on itch.io, and new Mhar supplements and a Quickstart Mhar guide over on DTPRG. Our podcast team split apart, but have now retained a new partner and will continue and hopefully grow. Our live stream team is taking a break for the holidays, but we should have further one shots and limited campaigns resuming in 2026.
As a reminder, each of our projects are undertaken by different teams, so new projects have no impact on the progression of past ones. The bottlenecks on fulfilment are the result of delays at other levels, not the development teams.
Supporting our other projects helps support marginalised persons who work with us (neither project management nor upper management are paid, all funds go toward the people who work with us to make these games and accessories and operational costs).
Hello all - I will be sending just one update here to my entire audience to avoid clogging everyone's inboxes. Launch doesn't seem to actually hit primary inboxes for at least Gmail users, so updates are the best way to spread info.
In about 2 weeks I will be launching a READY-TO-SHIP CAMPAIGN FOR THE HOLIDAYS! This campaign will be a first for Backerkit in that it will not have any wait in items shipping out! For the first time ever on backerkit - and online at all! - I will be offering pretty much ALL possible crochet designs. These will be in VERY LIMITED QUANTITIES to ensure that I can fulfill all orders through here & at my final convention of the year without needing to make any new products to fill any gaps. Once my event is over on the 23rd, I will be updating crochet stock. The event will be running from the 18th of November to the 1st of December, and I will ship out items as soon as funds for them hit my account and addresses are populated in the Pledge Manager. All items will be sent out via Ground Advantage, and should arrive by the 25th at the latest FOR CONTINENTAL US ONLY - I WILL BE OFFERING SPEEDIER SHIPPING OPTIONS FOR THOSE WHO MIGHT BE OUTSIDE THE US WHO PURCHASE.

This year, Forgotten Forest is back! This time supporting a charity that is dear to me. In-Sync Exotics Wildcat Rescue. A place that supported me and helped keep me straight all without ever knowing what I was going through as a teen-young adult. I credit a lot of my journey to their teaching and support and getting to be around all the magnificent animals.
They’re wonderful people who rescue exotics cats who can’t be returned to the wild and they give them a forever home. If you’re in the DFW area, I’d highly recommend visiting!
