I hope you’re doing well, and thank you so much for your continued patience. I've had a packed schedule of shows and quite a bit of logistical wrangling—much of it to plan around tariffs that, in the end, were basically reversed. While that’s great news overall, the course correction took a lot of time and energy to navigate.
That said, I didn’t want to wait any longer to share some really exciting progress!
🕯️ Monty Approved for Production! 🕯️
Monty is officially ready to begin production! 🎉 We're currently finalizing some negotiations from a previous order, but once those are settled, the factory can begin work. This is a huge milestone, and I’m thrilled to finally move forward with him!

🌙 Laisy’s Suit in Progress 🌙
Laisy is fluttering along nicely! Right now, we're working on their outfit, which is being designed to accommodate characters with or without wings and tails. This will be the most complex clothing piece we’ve tackled so far, but it’ll be well worth the effort—this pattern will become the foundation for many future outfits.
You may also notice there are no stars on the current blazer sample. We’re experimenting with a hybrid approach: printing the map details and smaller stars to avoid overstimulating textures, and embroidering the larger stars for contrast and durability. This middle ground should help the design remain detailed yet gentle on the eyes and hands.
You may notice their white shirt is a bit small, especially with the fluffed chest piece, and the blazer doesn't quite close yet. This is a work in progress, so your patience is appreciated, as always!

🦋 Dottie News! 🦋
Earlier, I mentioned we're wrapping up some negotiations. That’s related to the previous Kidd Krampus order, where unfortunately, several plushies arrived with tears—most likely due to shipping damage. I’m actively working on solutions to prevent them from going to waste and am coordinating with the factory on a fair compensation plan.
The silver lining? Thanks to how this order was handled, the number of pre-orders needed to fund Dottie has decreased! We now need just 45 total pre-orders, and we’re only 12 away from making her a reality. I’ll be at a show this weekend doing my best to help get us across the finish line!
🦋 Pre-order now or share this link with your friends!
Dottie's pre-order page
📦 Add-On Timeline & Charges 📦
Add-Ons such as stickers and pins haven’t been ordered yet—I'm just waiting on a few final survey responses. Once June 1st hits, we'll be locking things in and checking if Dottie has met her pre-order goal. At that point, cards will be charged for shipping and any extras shortly afterward.
🗓️ Heads-up: If your survey is complete, you can expect your card to be charged soon after June 1st!
🦋 If you pre-ordered Dottie, and we don't meet our goal: Dottie will be removed from your order and you will not be charged for her.
🎁 Kidd Krampus Freebie Reminder 🎁
If you pre-ordered Kidd Krampus through the Plushpanions/WildnCrafty website, your golden metal pin freebie has already been added to your order. If you don’t see it listed or have questions, feel free to reach out via [email protected] or open a ticket in our Discord server—we’re happy to help.
Thank you again for your support, your patience, and your excitement. I can’t wait to see these little moths spread their wings and head to their forever homes soon! 💚
Here to bring the good news that I just received the Fedex tracking for all the enamel pins! It's divided over 2 boxes for a total of a whopping 27 kilogram! I'm keeping all my fingers and toes crossed it will arrive before I leave for the convention DoKomi next week. I'd like to be sure I got them in before I leave, relief for my brain and all that.
Here's a big overview (and rambling, sorry I am a yapper) in case the enamel pins arrive on time! (If they arrive whilst I am away to the convention a lot can be disregarded, ahaha.)
Packing rewards after the convention
I won't have time to pack the enamel pins for all the backers before I leave for DoKomi. Fedex guesses I will receive the pins 1-2 days before I leave to the con. *sweats* I also have to coordinate with Roundbirbart for all the combined shipping orders. My priority is to do this straight after the convention weekend. We both have another convention (Dutch Comic Con) two weeks after DoKomi so I will try to pack/ship as many as I can in between those conventions.
Regarding the enamel pins at the convention
I also plan to bring a small amount of enamel pins to the upcoming DoKomi convention (if they arrive on time). The enamel pins I will sell at the convention will come from the overstock that I ordered next to the amounts the Backers pre-ordered. Preparing for the biggest conventions that are (almost) back to back really put a dent in my budgets and I'd like to use the sales of the overstock to prepare for the last half of 2025. It will also help prepare for the next crowdfunding I'm planning in August. I'll be focusing on more poison dart frogs and I'm also thinking salamanders!
It feels horrible to sell the pins on a convention already whilst the Backers are all still waiting but I want to stress that I will have enough enamel pins and that backers have precedence on the pins straight after the convention. I'm thinking of just bringing one bag of each pin to the convention and that's it. I want to see how people react in real life to the pins and what they think of it.
Locking survey and charging card Tuesday 3 June
With the delivery of shipment now imminent, here is the heads up for the locking of the survey and charging of the cards for the survey. On Tuesday 3 June I will lock and charge in one go.
Roundbirbart had contacted everyone to double check with the Local Pickup for combined shipping in my survey and I have manually updated about 40 Backers to fix it.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me via Backerkit support (the 'Contact us for help' button on your pledge page). Or you can use the contact form on my website, that way you reach me immediately by email and I can help you out much easier. Don't worry about feeling like you are bothering me with questions, I'm here to help! With the convention coming up I might not respond until after Monday 9th of June.
Tariffs and shipping
I've been asking around and so far no one has had any troubles when they we sending from the Netherlands to the United States. I am expecting this as well but as a heads up, something to keep in mind, there might be possible extra costs for you, the Backer, when the parcels arrive and are imported into the US. I expect it to not happen but we never know and want to keep you updated about it regardless.
Backing card combined shipping freebie
Completely forgot to show the finished backing card last update. This is the backing card the two freebie pins will be pinned on for all the combined shipping backers. Just two friends in a pond! (Pins are placeholder images, these will be the actual pins in reality.)
Sticker sheets also arrived
The Early frog freebie and extra's which could be purchased via the survey are all here as well! They look pretty cute, can't wait to use them myself.
Leftovers and overstock after fulfillment and conventions
When all is finished and wrapped up the leftovers and overstock will be added to my online shop. I will also bring them with me to upcoming conventions later in 2025 and 2026. The freebie pin will be 'while stock lasts' available for purchase as well. Enamel pin prices will be higher than during crowdfunding, price will be €15 per enamel pin, Northern Glass Frog and the set of Tadpoles will be higher, yet to be determent.
Pickup at DoKomi
I cannot 100% guarantee pick up will be available for DoKomi but I like to try and offer it for those attending. Please send me a message through the contact form on my website, before June 3rd for Dokomi! And I will try to get back to you asap. Disclaimer: this can only be done if I receive the pins on time. If I do not get them on time I will let you know.
-------
And that's it for this froggy yapper. Thank you for reading, ahaha. If the pins do not arrive before the convention, you can disregard all the points around the convention. I will start fulfillment after the convention weekend regardless :) Have a great weekend everyone!
Today we finally received the very first photos of the Constellation Bear plush sample from our manufacturer — and we just had to share them with you right away!! 🥹
Take a look at this little starry bean!!
🎥 Psst! — Don’t miss the videos! We know it’s a tiny extra step (they’re not embeddable directly here, sadly 😔), but please do check out the two video links below — the plush looks even better than in photos! You’ll be able to see more details, get a better sense of the shape, and yes… one of the videos even shows Constellation Bear naked without the sweater!! 🌟🐻
Bonus: the one with the sweater on was also filmed under natural daylight, so you get the most accurate view of the colors and textures too! 👀✨
We’ll most likely make a couple tweaks on a few details (especially some shape-refinement for the star on the forehead), but we’re already SO in love with how it turned out. The deep blue fur, the embroidered mini stars on the head and ears, and the little constellation on the sweater… it’s giving soft cosmic magic just as we wanted! 🤩✨ Can't wait to put our hands on it!
What do you think so far? Do you like how this little star chaser sample turned out? Do you have any suggestions?! Let us know in the comments — we love hearing your thoughts!
What’s next? We’re currently working on the plush sheets for Clown Bear, 90’s Bear, and Many Thoughts Bear (who, we remind you, was just officially unlocked!). Once those sheets are completed, their first samples for them will begin as well — one step closer to bringing the full squad to life! 😎
🎨 Pin production prep is underway! While we wait for the next plushie samples, we’re also hard at work behind the scenes on the enamel pins — making vector files, choosing Pantone colors for each detail, finalizing dimensions, and preparing everything the manufacturer needs to start production
We’re making sure each pin stays true to our original designs while also being optimized for the enamel process (so things like line thickness and color placement are extra important!). It’s a bit of a puzzle, and it takes time since every step is on our shoulders — but we’ve been doing this for years, and we’re on it 💪🧩✨
>We’re also carefully deciding which manufacturer to work with for the pins, as we want to make sure the final result lives up to our quality standards and responses are not extremely delayed this time (especially after all the hiccups you know we had in our previous projects). We’re taking no shortcuts — just the safest and most reliable path for these bb bears to shine! ✨
We’ll keep you posted once we get the first pin proofs or photos
---
We’ll share more in general as soon as we get further updates — for now, we hope you love these first Constellation Bear photos and videos as much as we do!
Let us know what you think in the comments! Stay tuned for more plushie progress very soon~
The update we’ve all been waiting for! The pins are in transit! 🥳 I had the boxes staggered because of the tariffs. I have received the first box, 3 are in transit, I expect the last one to arrive in about a month. Once the last box has arrived I will start fulfilling orders.
Thank you for your patience, and for supporting the project. 💜 I will take some photos this coming weekend to share in an additional update. 😁
Look what arrived in the post today! The shiny new collab pins 😍
I can't wait to send these out to you 🥰 Unlike my previous Booktopia campaign where my collab partner sent out both collab pins to qualifying backers, I will be sending my half of this set with my Smut Lovers Club pins and Marci will be sending the other half with her Kitten Criez Pinz.
As a reminder, I will be charging cards on May 31st and ordering the pins early next week. If you haven't filled in your survey yet, please do so as soon as possible.
We wanted to drop by with some fresh updates now that we’ve officially locked all surveys and charged cards — thank you so much to everyone who finalized their orders in time! 💳✨
👉 Still 30 surveys left to complete! If you haven’t submitted your survey yet, please do so as soon as possible! 🐻💌 We’re now finalizing item counts to place our orders with the manufacturers, and it’s crucial that we have everyone’s responses at this stage — surveys submitted too late may no longer be eligible for fulfillment. So please don’t wait! 🙏
💳 Payment issues – action needed! A few of the card charges we issued have failed — this sometimes happens due to expired cards, insufficient funds, or payment provider errors.
👉 If you received a failed payment notification, please update your payment method as soon as possible! You can do this directly via your BackerKit survey link.
⚠️ Please note: If the payment isn’t successfully processed, your pledge will be considered cancelled, meaning you won’t receive any rewards. In some cases, if resolved later, it may be possible to restore it — but fulfillment could be delayed significantly, or even no longer possible once production is underway.
If you're having trouble updating your payment method, please reach out to BackerKit Support directly — unfortunately, we’re not able to help with payment processing ourselves 💬
And if your card should work but is still getting declined, please contact your bank as soon as possible — sometimes this happens due to currency differences (USD vs EUR) or because it’s flagged as a foreign transaction 🌍💳
>We’d really love to make sure every bear finds its way home in the end, so please check in if you're affected! 🐻💌
🧠🐻 Many Thoughts Bear plush unlocked!
We ended up giving a little more time than initially planned to make sure as many of you as possible could jump in before locking everything… and we’re really glad we did, because we reached a milestone we were secretly hoping for:
17 Many Thoughts Bear plushies have been ordered! While it didn’t quite hit the 25-unit goal, this bear is incredibly dear to us, and we truly want to bring them to life — so we’ve decided to consider them officially unlocked anyway! 🎉 This means Many Thoughts Bear plush is going into production, and we couldn’t be happier 💜
On the other hand, the 🧪🐻 Toxic Bear enamel pin, despite winning the last poll here on BK, only got 6 orders total, so unfortunately it won’t be produced. If you had it in your cart, you haven’t been charged for it Also, if Toxic Bear had been unlocked, we were going to reveal and add another Bear enamel pin to the post-campaign unlockables lineup before closing the surveys… but it wasn’t meant to be this time!
🧢🎀 Bonus accessory news! Even though they didn’t quite reach their initial 30-order goal, we’ve decided to unlock both the Indigo Bear Hoodie and the Red Ribbon accessories anyway as well — we’ll be covering the extra cost ourselves because we really loved the idea of getting them made 🥺💜 It’s always nice to have a little extra outfit option to swap with the base bear sweaters — and we figured Patchwork Bear, being our only completely nudie bear 👀, might appreciate some extra wardrobe choices too! hehe ✂️🧵✨ So if you ordered them: great news, you’re getting them! 🎉
💻 Pre-Order Store still open! If you missed the campaign or want to grab something extra, the Pre-Order Store is still open for a little while — at least until we move from pre-production to the juicy production stages 🧵🐾 So there’s still a chance to sneak in!
🧸 Sample progress update! We’re now preparing the design sheets for the plush samples of:
🤡 Clown Bear
📼 90’s Bear
🧠 Many Thoughts Bear (just added!)
Meanwhile, we just heard from our manufacturer that the Constellation Bear plush sample is (finally 😭) almost ready — and they’ll be sending us photos and videos soon! We’re beyond curious to see how it turned out and can’t wait to share it with you all 🌟🐻 Fingers crossed it’s already as magical as we hoped! 👀💫
Thanks again for being on this adventure with us — more updates very soon! 💖
Please, please, please fill out your surveys if you haven't already done so. The collab pins are on the way, but I can't order anything else until everybody has filled in their surveys. I'm waiting on final counts before placing the order with my manufacturer, so I need the surveys completed as soon as possible. I will also be charging cards at the end of this week, so please make sure your surveys are complete and your payments go through.
I've said multiple times now that I wouldn't update too much but I'm just too excited to not pop in and show some pins! I think you all don't mind.
More sample pictures Past weeks I've been surprised by my manu with screenprint sample pictures. I had not expected them to be honest, but this is the first time I'm doing screenprint and working directly with a pin manufactor instead of a middle man. Pleasantly surprised tho! I'm only missing the Black rain frog. I received it but the screenprint was so light I asked if they could change it to another. Waiting on that one for now. All others are now approved tho! (The tadpoles were done already, they didn't had any screenprint.)
The Pacman frog had some issues with the screen print colour at first. So I asked for another colour but that was not it. But now the left is the final choice and approved one! Right is way too bright, would be a good one for the albino colour variant. Maybe in a future crowdfunding or pre-order in the shop.
Freebie enamel pin backing card In the meantime I've also finished the freebie backer pin backing card. Not yet ordered but I'm still waiting on the pins so there's not need for it yet.
Combined Shipping Regarding the combined shipping Roundbirbart has emailed a bunch of you already to check if you wanted combined shipping or not. I've processed those who emailed back manually. So those who mailed back should now have 'Local Pickup' in their survey country address. Please double check yourself if you have the Collab freebie pin from us both and you want combined shipping to enter 'Local Pickup' in your address line instead of United States/Germany/whatever country the pins need to go to. This only counts for my survey.
Shipping and tariffs Like the last update it's changing all the time. The 200+% has dropped down again now to.. somewhere around 50% for those in the United States. This will be until August somewhere but we'll just have to see how it'll go. To prepare yourself, expect a payment needed with anything coming from outside of the United States. For orders outside of Europe it's an additional 20%, but there's also the de minimum. My thoughts are: prep some budget on the side for any possible extra payments you need to pay as the person 'importing' the items. That way you are prepared! Locking surveys and charging cards Here to mention I'll be locking survey's and charging cards when I get a shipment notice of the enamel pins. Not sure when that'll happen, but I'll be sure to let you all know a few days before that. Just make sure all is set and filled in correctly.
When will the pins be shipped I'll be honest, I don't know exactly if all the approved screenprint samples are now in production or done already. These photo's were sent to me over the past few weeks. I think it's safe to say I won't receive the enamel pins before the weekend of 7 and 8 June. I have the German convention DoKomi then and would have liked to offer pick up there. Bu I don't think I'll have them by then.
And that's all it! If you are attending DoKomi beginning of June I'll be in Hall 4 at booth 4M03 and I wish you a very fun convention weekend. The next convention will be Dutch Comic Con two weeks after. Can't wait till I have the pins tho, super stoked for them!
Wishing you a frogtacular early weekend!
P.S. I'm overly excited but I'm planning to do a much smaller crowdfunding in August. Focused on poison dart frogs and possibly salamanders. Hit the 'count me in' button if you like to stay updated. Nothing is set yet but hope you are excited for this as much as I am already, ahaha.
The cookie badges have arrived and are all sorted! Here is how the 2 new colorways look.
They arrived before tariffs kicked in but I had a snafu with the lenticular keychains I self-funded in the same order arriving damaged, and had a back and forth with the manu. I wanted to see how that resolved - aka my likelihood of ever being able to restock these badges or not - before posting the final reveal. Thankfully, that worked out in my favor, so if I ever need to reorder these cookie badges I can. And they were great quality!
All ordered badges have been reserved already/sorted out. However, I realized very belatedly that I don't have any kind of signature on these, so I put a small name stamp (a transfer sticker) on the backs of all of these button badges. That will not impede the function in any way.
I only peeled half of the back film (the plastic with blue writing), then reapplied it after adding the logo sticker
I also want to share this info I accidentally omitted from the last update about the pin flaws:
I've been referring to the epoxy coverage flaw as "shrinkage" because the epoxy doesn't go all the way to the edges in random spots. Sometimes these spots that are uncovered are absolutely massive, which are the pins I considered as seconds. It makes the pins lumpy and the way they reflect light is completely non-uniform as a result.
This one is quite scuffed up as well
This can happen to a degree even with attempts to solve it because surface tension is occasionally fickle, but in this case it's pretty clear they globbed the epoxy on and just kind of hoped it would even itself out, it may have even been too partially-cured to do so given how thick it is. So I am not comfortable letting those pins represent the kind of quality I'd be okay passing off as standards, when it is clear from 2/3 of the order being fine that this is actually avoidable - which is why I graded those as seconds. There's also a couple colorways with a significant amount of print misalignment (calico and siamese) or dust in the epoxy (donut's paw and a couple others), so there is that as well.
These both have print smudging, and the bottom one is also a bit misaligned
The rep wouldn't have agreed to remakes if she didn't agree from the videos I sent that this was a significant issue, which took me a few hours to record as I sorted through all several-hundred seconds pins again a second time beforehand. If I were to send any of these out I would feel an obligation to refund the difference ($7 for seconds grade pins) and I simply can't afford to, I'm sorry.
They will arrive before production begins for the monster girls, at least...so, at this point I'm guessing that means 2-3 weeks from now.
Lastly, here is a pic of 1 standard grade per each colorway. I don't have updated graphics finished yet for the gacha signs themselves since I won't be using them in machines in person for a while.
I completely spaced on sharing how they all look. So sorry about that!!!!! 😣
I will update again soon once I have more news on remakes! Please read my previous update if you have questions about fulfillment timeline!
