Here is a July update for the Expanded Rulebook/Encyclopedia Monstergoria. We're balancing and refining the rules for Magic Spells, which will provide a wider array of casting options and spell types. It won't be a laundry list like a traditional RPG but they will be effective, fit within 321RPG's world, and fun as hell.
Geo is working on the voicing for the Attenborough-esque narration for the Encyclopedia Monstergoria. Which has been neat so far. We're also adding more monsters which is super exciting to me as well. He's been teasing that he's got the name worked out but hasn't told me yet. I'll keep prodding.
We also made a call to include a full-length adventure in the book, rather than shorter adventures. Our thinking is that we want you to get the full experience and we didn't think we could convey that over four short five or six-page mini-adventures. So there will be a full adventure inside, ready to rock, right out of the box.
We're also going to roll our guest writer's adventures into a separate zine which will also be included as well. l got the idea after seeing the adventure I guest wrote for Weird Heroes of Public Access TTRPG, Ponch And Judy Was A Punk in a supplemental book called We All Have Secrets. Flow-wise, it felt better to have it separate from the main book, so we are going to go with that model as well.
We’ll be back later in the month with more. Until then, stay safe out there, and may the dice always roll in your favor.
