What is Wing Weaver? Wing Weaver is a dark fantasy dragon rider academy novel set at Aviara Academy, an elite institution where riders are trained through dangerous bonds and unforgiving trials. The story follows a rider bonded to a dragon born with permanently damaged wings in a world where flight defines power. What is the Wing Weaver Deluxe Special Edition? The Deluxe Special Edition is a premium hardcover edition created for collectors and fantasy readers. It features a purple-and-gold case design, upgraded materials, and additional enhancements that will be unlocked as the campaign reaches its stretch goals. Is this edition exclusive to BackerKit? This campaign is the first opportunity to obtain the Wing Weaver Deluxe Edition. While the edition may be available again in the future, certain campaign elements, acknowledgements, and merchandise are exclusive to this release. Will the books be signed? Yes. Every book is personally signed and stamped by A.P. Beswick before being packed and shipped from A.P. HQ in England. Will my name appear in the acknowledgements? Backers at eligible tiers will have their names printed in the acknowledgements of the book, marking them as supporters of the first Deluxe Edition release. When will the books ship? Books will be sent to print once the campaign has finished. Printing and production are expected to take place between April and August, though this timeline may extend beyond that window. The better the campaign performs, the more upgrades will be added to the final book, such as enhanced interior design and artwork. These additions may increase development and production time slightly. Backers will be kept updated throughout the process and notified as soon as the books are ready to ship. Shipping will be charged separately from the campaign once fulfilment is ready. Do you ship internationally? Yes. We ship to nearly every country worldwide. If your country does not appear at checkout, please contact us at [email protected] and we will work on adding it. Will I have to pay VAT or customs fees? Possibly. We ship internationally from the UK and do not collect VAT or import duties. Any applicable fees are determined by your local customs authority and paid directly to your delivery provider upon arrival. What happens if I don’t pay customs fees? If a parcel is returned due to unpaid customs charges or a missed delivery, the order can be resent once the issue has been resolved. Please note that additional shipping costs may apply. How do US tariffs affect my order? US orders may be subject to a 10% reciprocal tariff on books and additional fees on non-book items such as merchandise or art prints. On average, this is $1–$3 per item. You will be contacted by our courier partner to settle this before delivery. What if my tracking hasn’t updated? If your tracking has not updated for more than a week after dispatch, please contact us at [email protected] and we will follow up with our courier partner to investigate. Can I cancel or change my order? Due to the nature of crowdfunding campaigns, cancellations cannot be accepted once the campaign has been funded. BackerKit FAQ
BackerKit Crowdfunding is an all-or-nothing collaborative funding platform. Creators share their project ideas and set a funding goal with a deadline. Backers pledge money to help make the project possible.
If the project meets its goal by the deadline, pledges are charged and the creator moves forward. If it doesn’t, no one is charged.
Backers often receive special rewards for their support, such as:
- Exclusive products
- Bonus rewards for backing related projects
- Discount pricing
- Behind-the-scenes updates
- Creative input opportunities
Pledging in crowdfunding is a commitment to support the creation of a new product or project. Unlike a traditional purchase, you're not buying an item that already exists. Instead, your contribution helps bring a creative idea to life, and in return, you typically receive rewards (such as the product itself) as a thank you for your early support.
- Select a pledge level with the reward(s) you would like to receive
- Select any add-ons
- Confirm your pledge!
- You are charged only if the campaign meets its funding goal.
- Charges happen when the campaign ends, not when you pledge.
The creator will send you a survey to:
- Ask you for more information about your rewards (selecting options, etc)
- Collect shipping information
- Offer additional items you may want to add to your pledge
- Collect shipping fees (if applicable)
The survey will be sent to the email address we have on file with your pledge. Additional payments are charged when you complete the survey.
Only the project creator and the BackerKit Support Team can see your pledge and contact information. Other backers and the public cannot see your individual pledge amount or personal details.
You can change or adjust your pledge level and add-ons before the campaign ends. After the project concludes, cancellations or changes are at the creator's discretion and may depend on what stage the project is in.
Overtime Mode extends your campaign past its original end time to give backers a final chance to make their pledge. It will add an additional 10 minutes past the end time as long as pledges keep coming in. The campaign will end when there is a 10-minute period without any new pledges.
