The roadrunner and cardinal stickers will be closer in size to the rest of the birds for the final print run. I just made a small error preparing my prototype files!
For my first campaign, I'm creating stickers of my favorite drawings from the 2024 Birdtober challenge! For those unfamiliar, Birdtober is a daily creation challenge run in October similar to the Inktober challenge. I followed the official Birdtober prompt list by mural artist Andrea Holmes and drew all 31 birds using pen and alcohol-based markers.
The initial goal will fund the printing costs for the Greater Roadrunner, Hoary Redpoll, Great Blue Heron, Ruby-crowned Kinglet, Northern Cardinal, and Belted Kingfisher designs.
How I selected the birds As I was drawing for Birdtober 2024, the thought popped in my head that my drawings would make nice stickers. It was so hard for me to narrow down my top 6 favorites, so I made a survey and asked my friends, family, and social media followers which drawings they liked best!
Fun Facts about the Birds Greater Roadrunner: Meep meep! Many of us fondly remember Looney Tunes' Roadrunner outrunning and outsmarting Wile E. Coyote, but in real life, coyotes can run twice as fast as a roadrunner. Hoary Redpoll: I chose hoary redpoll for the "Artist's Choice" prompt day of Birdtober because I saw my first one in 2024, the year that the American Ornithological Society lumped the three formerly recognized species of redpoll into one. Hoary redpolls are rarer and subtly whiter than what was called the common redpoll, and I wanted to memorialize my excitement over seeing one! Great Blue Heron: This majestic bird is the largest heron of North America. They are adept hunters that can strike quickly, eating fish, amphibians, small mammals, and even other birds.
Ruby-crowned Kinglet: Kinglets can be hard to spot because they are tiny and seem to never stop flitting around! Their wingspan is barely 7 inches and they weigh roughly the same as a nickel. Gynandromorph Northern Cardinal: I've drawn many cardinals, and while I love them, I wanted to something different for this drawing. This bird is a bilateral gynandromorph, meaning it's quite literally half-male, half-female. Although an extremely rare intersex phenomenon, it's very noticeable in birds where the males and females have very different plumage! Belted Kingfisher. With her rusty orange breast band, female belted kingfishers are more colorful than the males, making them unique in the bird world where the opposite is usually true.

I'm Annie, I’m a traditional artist and a huge bird nerd! I was first taught traditional Chinese watercolor painting in 2006, and over the decades I have built my unique art style incorporating Chinese and self-taught techniques. I work with watercolor, markers, colored pencil and more to capture my love for nature and birds.
If this campaign funds, you will receive a survey after it ends to choose your stickers and make any changes to your order. Once I have all of those, I will put in the print order for the sticker. It will take 10-20 business days to print the stickers. Once I receive the stickers, I will package all the orders, which I estimate will take a week depending on my schedule. Then, the stickers will be mailed to you via regular post! I estimate delivery will be in July 2025.
Shipping and handling and sales taxes will be charged in the pledge manager before fulfillment. For US orders, I estimate $1, plus sales tax. International orders will ship delivery duty unpaid.
