The Midnight Edition reimagines our celebrated 78-card RWS fine art deck with elegant black backs and gold foil accents. Experience the beauty of fine art, thoughtfully edited to illuminate traditional tarot symbolism in a more sophisticated form.
After the incredible success of The Naked Truth Tarot First Edition, we're thrilled to present our most requested changes in The Naked Truth Tarot: Midnight Edition.
I've long been captivated by the raw beauty and honesty of nudity in classical paintings, where both the strength and vulnerability of the human body are laid bare. Going through medical school has deepened my appreciation for the human form in every shape, color, and size. This inspired me to create 'The Naked Truth Tarot'—a tarot deck that honors the beauty of our physical being through the medium of classical art (and some photographs), all while exploring the rich symbolism tarot has to offer.
The Naked Truth Tarot is not just about showcasing the naked human form; it's about unveiling the truths hidden within ourselves, embracing our vulnerabilities, and finding strength in our authenticity. Each card tells a story, not just through the artistic portrayal of the human body but also through the symbolism and meaning associated with the tarot tradition.
As you explore this unique tarot deck, you'll find that every card has been carefully curated to align with the traditional tarot meanings. The artworks, sourced from public domain paintings and edited by a fellow local artist whose name shall remain anonymous (his request, not mine, because of the premise of this tarot deck), add a layer of depth to each card, bringing forth a blend of artistry and mysticism that is both enchanting and thought-provoking. Think of owning this tarot deck as having your own little museum!
Each painting was subtly edited to enhance the symbolism and connection to the tarot card.
Small Note Regarding Diversity
As a non-white individual, I've often felt a sense of disconnection with the predominantly white, European-centric depictions in many fine art tarot decks. This realization sparked my desire to create a tarot deck that truly embraces inclusivity, showcasing the beauty and diversity of different ethnicities.
In the realm of public domain art, particularly in works featuring nudity, there is a noticeable scarcity of ethnically diverse representations. This is largely due to the historical periods from which these artworks originate, where diverse ethnicities were either underrepresented or depicted in a manner that often reinforced stereotypes.
Our commitment to diversity stems from a deep belief in the importance of representation and the power of art to reflect a more inclusive world. While historical paintings had limitations, I've included quality photographs where appropriate to enhance the diversity of this deck.
Please know that if any artwork selected for this deck inadvertently causes discomfort or offense, I offer my sincere apologies. The intention behind this tarot deck is to celebrate diversity and beauty in its most inclusive form, bridging historical art with contemporary values of representation and respect.
The Midnight Edition preserves the timeless classical artwork from our First Edition, with thoughtful changes to ten cards: The Lovers, The Tower, Six of Wands, Queen of Wands, King of Wands, Three of Coins, Seven of Coins, Ten of Coins, Four of Cups, and Nine of Cups.
This edition elevates the experience through rich black card backs that replace the First Edition's lighter background, creating a dramatic visual statement. Luxurious gold foil accents and detailing instead of the original rose gold add depth and sophistication. The result is sublime visual harmony when displayed alongside the Baroque Tarot or other editions of the deck.
The Midnight Edition will be the second and final edition of The Naked Truth Tarot. We believe in creating art that manifests our visions rather than treating our projects as ongoing revenue streams. This edition was born from an evolution in the creator's vision and in response to thoughtful community feedback—something we deeply value. With these refinements complete, we consider The Naked Truth Tarot's journey to be fulfilled, with no further editions planned.

The deck comes with a detailed 120-page physical Little White Book (LWB) that includes insights for every card (keywords and meanings for upright and reversed draws)
Along with the physical LWB, you'll get access to a more detailed digital (PDF) companion book, the physical version of which (which has been repeatedly requested) is available as an addon.
In response to popular demand from our previous Naked Truth campaign, we're excited to offer a hardcover version of the companion book with this new release!
The A4-sized hardcover spans over 150 pages and includes entries for all cards in the deck. For the ten cards that have been redesigned in the Midnight Edition (The Lovers, The Tower, Six of Wands, Queen of Wands, King of Wands, Three of Coins, Seven of Coins, Ten of Coins, Four of Cups, and Nine of Cups), we've included both the original and new art pieces and interpretations.
The book showcases the complete collection of classical paintings in their unmodified form alongside the tarot adaptations, making it a valuable art collection volume for enthusiasts of both tarot and classical art. This means you can enjoy the companion book whether you own the First Edition deck and aren't planning to upgrade, or if you're purchasing the new Midnight Edition.
The inclusion of both original and new artwork for the changed cards ensures the book remains a valuable resource regardless of which deck version you have in your collection.
Here's a preview of the companion book:
PS: The PDF version of the companion book is included for free with every copy of the deck.
We love bold tarot projects, especially ones where creators pour their heart and soul into the artistic process. That’s why we’re thrilled to be collaborating with Vibrating Tarot, a uniquely provocative pleasure product themed Tarot deck.
This collaboration is a natural fit. Both our decks celebrate sexuality in distinctive ways—The Naked Truth Tarot through thoughtfully edited classical art pieces showcasing the beauty of the human form, and Vibrating Tarot with sex positivity and acceptance at its core, featuring over 300 unique pleasure products manufactured by 140 different sexual wellness brands.
We both share a commitment to creating Tarot experiences that are visually striking and unabashedly honest about human desire and expression, aiming to start the types of conversations that bridge the gap between sexuality and spirituality.
Back both of our campaigns to receive two exclusive rewards: The World Keychain from The Naked Truth Tarot, and The Vibrating Tarot PDF Colouring Book from Vibrating Tarot.
To qualify, make sure you back both projects before they end (May 22nd). Your exclusive items will be added to your rewards after both campaigns conclude.
Two bold decks, one amazing collaboration—celebrating sex positivity and the power of artistic expression through Tarot. Don’t miss out!
Since the artworks are (almost) ready, after the campaign wraps up, we're aiming to get everything on its way to you sometime between September and October 2025 (probably sooner, as usual).
Note that the shipping fees aren't included in the reward prices (they are included for the addons, though). We'll collect shipping fees and delivery addresses after the campaign concludes using Backerkit.
Here are our estimated shipping costs for a single deck:
North America (US and Canada): $13-20
European Union, UK, and Australia: $14-21
Asia: $8-12
Everywhere else: $18-20
Please keep an eye on your inbox in the weeks following the end of this campaign, as we'll be moving on with the manufacturing/shipping promptly once the campaign is over (this is not our first rodeo). If you don't provide your shipping address within a maximum of six months of receiving the survey, your pledge will be treated as a donation to the project, since we can't store the decks indefinitely.
