As a reader, we're sure you've seen the accusations of "copying" lobbied about one book or another. We firmly believe that the best books happen in conversation with each other. Every author started with the same premise, but each book is a uniquely delicious rendition of Bluebeard.

We only had three guidelines for our authors…

Make it spicy. 

Make it forbidden.

Every backer will have the opportunity to include their name in the acknowledgements of all of the books! By helping us to bring this to life, you'll be celebrated forever within these gorgeous collector's editions.

The books are longer this year...in some cases, more than twice as long!

To account for their girth...the hardcover set will be divided into six volumes. The paperbacks will remain in the three volume flippy-floppy format of past years. 

We are keeping the paperback set in our traditional flippy-floppy format (3 volumes, 2 books in each). The three volumes will be packaged in a foiled slipcase with the same design as the hardcover set.

We're doing things a bit differently this year to allow for maximum flexibility! You will select the edition of the series you want (ebook, paperback, hardcover, signed, etc) and then proceed to the Add-On page. Once there, you will have the option to choose the One-Click Merch Box. This will include all available merch items (including any added by stretch goals) at a 15% discount!

We are once again bringing the spiciest vellum inserts from our amazing artist, Sara Bertoli! These are semi-transparent and designed to slip right into your book...or in the book nook! (Art will not be censored in the final product)

What is a book nook? It's a box designed to fit right on your shelves next to your books. If you've ever had a craving to display some of the vellum inserts we've sold in the past, this is sized to fit them all! Slip in a tea light behind, and you have all your gorgeous art on display! There is also a section in the back with storage.

If you'd like vellum inserts (or book nook display options) that aren't NSFW, these are the ones for you! The cover art by Finn Frei is so gorgeous, we couldn't resist doing a set of vellum featuring it!

We're bringing back the fan favorites from past campaigns with a special Bluebeard spin on them, all featuring a design by Shannon Donahue! We'll have the collector's coin in Antique Vintage Gold. The bookmark will be the same color, with a round design, chain, and a key charm. The lowball glasses will be in sets of two.

We have done our best to estimate shipping costs, based on weight of the packages and current shipping rates. With the current state of our world, there's a chance the actual shipping cost will be different. We will give plenty of notice before we charge shipping, with the estimated timeline being in Q1 of 2027.

Bonkers Romance will not be collecting any VAT or customs fees. It will be the responsibility of the individual backers to take care of that when we ship. Please keep in mind that if you order the ebooks and add on physical items, there will be a shipping cost for those items, but it will be a nominal amount for the small items or paper products. 

There will be an option to do Pay Over Time for any order over $150, which is 4 equal monthly payments (starting May 2nd), rather than a single bulk payment. You will get your survey after your final payment is completed.
