Project Update: Artist Update!

The spice flows ever onward, and with it comes change. We’re excited to share another significant update regarding the TALES FROM ARRAKEEN anthology which may delight some longtime fans of our most recent DUNE series!
Two incredible artists will now lend their talents to the highly anticipated two-issue special EDGE OF A CRYSKNIFE, joining us from the esteemed DUNE: HOUSE CORRINO creative team!
We’re delighted to confirm that acclaimed illustrator Simone Ragazzoni will be the main artist for EDGE OF A CRYSKNIFE: HIDING AMONG HARKONNENS, while rising star Andrea Scalmazzi will be the main artist for EDGE OF A CRYSKNIFE: RAGE OF SHAI-HULUD!
Between their combined talents, you can expect stunning visuals, gripping storytelling, and a new level of immersion into the treacherous sands of DUNE, and we can’t wait to see more of the beloved franchise through the lens of these two creators.
We’ll be sure to share as much as we can of the creative process as the book progresses, but for now that’s all the news we have this month!

Project Update: The Spice Flows Steadily

They say that no news is good news – and in this case they’re absolutely right! We’re delighted to share that production of your orders is currently coming along as smooth as the flat edge of a Crysknife and we have no major updates to report at this time.
But while we have your attention, we’d love to mention an upcoming anniversary as this season starts to come to a close!
Did you know that the first DUNE comic books published with us here at BOOM! Studios were released in the Fall of 2020?
We know we’re getting nostalgic early, but it’s amazing to think that 2025 will officially mark half a decade of being a part of Frank Herbert’s science fiction masterwork through the adaptations by the DUNE series torchbearers, acclaimed authors Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson and through the lens of an incredible list of artists who have touched the series over the years.
We cannot believe how much time has passed, but nonetheless it’s been a true honor to be a part of such an incredible community and connect with a fandom that’s simply out of this world!
