We're gearing up for fulfillment on Keep the Faith. The games are almost at our New York and UK warehouses, so it's time to get some things done.
So if you go check out your surveys in the Backerkit pledge manager for this campaign, you should see shipping charges applied to your orders; please go and double check that they look correct. You can get to your survey here:
For a single copy of the game, we have pegged the shipping charge at $7.75 for domestic US backers. This is after the $5 discount we said we would apply when we decided to drop the MSRP on the game (so the original shipping charge would have been $12.75, which is set as a combination of postal costs, warehouse pick fees, and other fees/costs we have to cover). Orders with additional add-ons or larger quantities will range between $8.75-$11.00, depending on quantities and the like (again these are after applying the $5 discount).
For international backers, we will be using a combination of our UK fulfillment partner's rates (for Europe and most of the world) and Pirate Ship's Simple Export Rate (for Canada and Brazil). Those rates will range from $6.50-$30.00, depending on your country of origin (and again, those are after we applied the $5 discount). Rates to Europe only are customs-friendly.
We will be locking orders shortly, with a 48 hour window for you to make any last minute changes. Then on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, we will charge cards for any add-ons and shipping charges. Once cards have been charged, most digital rewards should release through Backerkit (but not the Keep the Faith Curriculum Guide, which is still in layout). We'll then get the backer data to our warehouses, and they will start the process of scheduling fulfillment for some time in February.
Stay faithful, everybody, we're almost there. Thank you for your patience on this.
Smoke test worked out fine, so check your inboxes. We pushed the button and sent surveys out to everyone!
If you have any issues, please reach out to Backerkit Support. They'll flag anything that needs our attention. You can also reach out to us directly ([email protected]), if you'd rather go that route.
Also, our current crowdfunding campaign, Art and System: Games for Expanded Play is still going strong. We're only a few thousand away from our only stretch goal. Check it out here if you haven't yet done so.
Hello everyone! With production well underway, we are ready to reach out about our next step: Backerkit surveys! These surveys are important because they allow you to finalize your shipping information, include any add-ons you want as part of your pledge, and collect payment information for add-ons and, eventually, shipping fees. Let's get our ducks in a row for fulfillment.
When Are Surveys Coming? First, the timing: surveys will go live a few days after we launch our smoke test (where we send out surveys to a small subset to check for errors or other issues). Right now, the plan is to initiate the smoke test on Monday, October 13. Assuming the smoke test goes ok, the remaining surveys will roll out after that in batches starting on Wednesday, October 15 until all are in the wild!
Where Is the Survey Coming From? Our backend fulfillment partner is Backerkit (naturally), so your survey email will come from them.
How Do You Complete the Survey? You don’t need to create a BackerKit account to fill out your survey (although you already have one from when you backed the campaign...on Backerkit). When you receive the email with the survey, click the survey link to respond. Answer the questions about your reward preferences, provide shipping information, and purchase add-on items if you like.
Why Aren't Shipping Fees in Backerkit Yet? Due to the eternal volatility of shipping prices globally right now, shipping fees for this project will be calculated closer to fulfillment. We plan to enter & charge backers for shipping a month before fulfillment when we have better estimates of what it will cost to ship backers rewards; this will most likely be in January or February 2026. We will alert backers when shipping costs are finalized & before we charge your cards in your BackerKit survey, so that you can review the charges.
For US domestic shipping, we still expect final shipping costs for a single copy of the game to be between $10-$12 total. There is also a possibility of tariff charges for US backers, but we'll have a better sense of that in January.
For international backers in the UK and EU, we'll be able to offer customs friendly shipping rates through our fulfillment partner in the UK (GamesQuest), but those rates are not locked in yet. Everywhere else in the world, shipping will be much higher than the base US cost. This is just the reality of global shipping right now.
How Long Do YouHave to Complete the Survey? Surveys will be live until January 9, 2026, after which we will close surveys to begin ramping up to fulfillment, so you will have plenty of time if you don't get to it right away. Also, after you respond to your survey, you can go back later and change your responses at any time before we close the surveys.
How Do You Access Your Survey After Completion? If you need to review your information or pledge status, you can return to your survey by clicking the link in your survey email or requesting your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page at https://keep-the-faith.backerkit.com/.
What If You Don't Receive the Survey Email? Beyond checking the spam or junk folder in your email, there are two other steps to check if you do not receive a survey email.
First, if you used your Facebook credentials to log in to your crowdfunding account, the BackerKit survey is sent to the email address associated with your Facebook account. If you have another email address that you prefer to use, please contact support at https://keep-the-faith.backerkit.com/faq.
Second, after surveys are sent, if you did not receive the email, and you Signed in with Apple ID, your email address might be a private relay email address. We can help locate your survey and update your email address, please message us or post a comment with your Backer ID or Pledge # found on your confirmation. You can learn more about your email hiding for your Apple ID here.
Art and System, What's That?
We also want to pass along to you that we're currently crowdfunding a new series called Art and System: Games for Expanded Play on Backerkit. It has launched with three indie roleplaying games (RPGs) of some historical or artistic significance: Dog Eat Dog by Liam Liwanag Burke, Princess with a Cursed Sword by Anna Anthropy, and The Mountain Witch by Timothy Kleinert. Go check it out here:
I am reaching out today for a few reasons. Number 1, our production copy of Keep the Faith arrived, and it looks awesome! We have already cleared it and sent it into production. If everything in the world cooperates, it will ship at the end of November, which will mean we ship it out to you all in late January. I would aim for sooner, but right after the break, we jump into classes, so things take a smidge more time at that point.
Second, and very significantly, when the game arrived, we realized we needed to adjust the sale price for game stores. The game is awesome and worth $35 to us, but based on the size of the game, we think we priced it too high for the market. Because of this, we are lowering the MSRP to $30. BUT this isn't fair to you all either, so to try and make things right, we are going to credit everyone with $5 towards their shipping. Thus, the little extra you spent ends up being a down payment on your shipping.
Two final pieces of note. If you are in the U.S., there still may be a tariff attached to the game when it arrives. We won't know what that is for a bit. The final final note, today we launch a new series, Art and System. All three games in the series are fantastic. For the purposes of Keep the Faith I have been debating on playing Keep the Faith to build a religion and then have that religion dropped into the background of Dog Eat Dog. I think the two of them will pair in really interesting ways.
That is all for today. See prototype images below!
As you know from our last post, we decided to stick with Panda to print Keep the Faith. We sent all the digital files to them last month, and we've started getting digital proofs! See below - but please note that the image is not to scale.
<standard paragraph about tariffs, research, unpredictability, and confusion deleted for follower well-being>
As a final note of fun, we had our draft of a print and play version out at Gen Con and people's interest was awesome. We can't wait until you all get the opportunity to start creating your own religions!
