Were funded (+ new add-ons!)
Hey all,

We've funded!

Thank you everyone who has backed or shared Rabbit Stew.

I've already started sending Ezequiel the next pages to draw with the intent of getting ahead of the game and getting the comic to you as rapidly as possible.

Don't forget, you can get a free two-page crossover comic (digital format) if you also back The Dying Art of Mystery by Adam Holloway.

Also, based on the current poll results, I've added a selection of my solo role-playing games as add-ons. All of these games are in publication which means they won't hold fulfilment up.

Moreover, the digital versions games will be released around 14 days after the campaign ends.

Here's what's available:

Once again, thank you for all of your support!

A poll and a clarification
Hey there,

Ugh. I'm the final baton holder in the relay of getting the flu in our household. That means I'm holed up watching the Gilmore Girls* with my daughter. Not my ideal Sunday, but at least I have an excuse to stay on the sofa and feel sorry for myself.

We're almost funded (£55 to go at the time of writing), so thank you to everyone who has backed or shared the project.

In today's update, I'm asking for your input. As with all of my campaigns, I cap the shipping costs which means you can order as much as you like without it affecting the cost of getting the rewards to you.

On the comic front, I have very little else to offer as this is my first ever comic. However, I do have a back catalogue of solo role-playing games, so it has me wondering if those games would be of any interest as add-ons. Which, in turn, had me wondering if there is anything else you would like to see as a part of this campaign.

I'm attaching a poll to this update where you can offer feedback. You can do that by voting on the poll and/or leaving a comment.

The second reason I am sending this update is to clarify that all backers who pledge at the physical level will also receive the PDF of the comic. I've adjusted the description of items in that pledge level to make that clear.

That's all for now. Hopefully I'll be back some time next week to let you know we are funded!

A humbling experience plus real human art.
Hello!

Tim here, writer of Rabbit Stew. Some of you may know me, others may not.

My normal sphere of activity is writing role-playing games and running an independent publishing company that gets my games, and those of a number of other creators, out into the world.

In that realm, this first update would likely be celebrate our funding and thank everyone who helped us get achieve our goal.

However I'm creating a comic. Not something I have a proven form in? As of writing this, I am unfunded and completely at peace with that.

This is me stepping into a new world, pushing out from a familiar shore as I put it to Adam Holloway, a friend and fellow writer who also has a live campaign *.

That said, I've read enough comics to be inspired. I've also read a heap of books ** á la Good Will Hunting.

As with everything I do, I will put all I can into it to create something, rather selfishly, for me. This is how I've always worked: with the confidence that there are other people like me who will also want to see it.

It's exciting, but also humbling.

I'm also thankful to have found Ezequiel Rubio. I had almost given up on creating this comic until I discovered him in the depths of a thread on the hellhole that is Reddit.

On that note, here is a video of him drawing a page from the comic.

Over the coming weeks, I'll be dropping my thoughts about process: what I did definitely did wrong, what I think I did right and what the results were. I'll also be talking a bit more about this world I am bringing you into. A world that will follow the Wade family for several decades. I've already started work on part 2 and I intend to put a teaser in the back of this comic.

I'll also share some more pages. I might even mention Cowmageddon.

That's my pitch for you to keep following and maybe even back this project.

Feel free to ask me any questions in the comments of these updates.

That's all for now.

Wishing you a spectacular weekend.

Tim x

* This is also a collab with my campaign. When you back both, you will receive a free two-page crossover comic.
