Hi, I'm Cryptic Compendium and I'm still pretty new to Backerkit, this is my second project. My first one ended in June and the pins are shipping to me soon! (If you want to see how they turned out, there are finished pics further below!)
I don't have a lot of experience making pins, but I DO have several people who do that will and do guide me in the right direction. Because of this, my spider pins translated from 2D to 3D really well!!
Right now I work full-time as a cook and occasionally appear at conventions with Midnight Springs as her assistant, and because of that I have years of experience with artist alley sales and a lot of collabs with her before deciding to really try to build my own brand. I'd love to do more creative projects and somehow transition over to this end of things.

This is a return of my print design for a collab colorway of Midnight Springs' mini bat mold, but this time it will have purple cat eye effect!

About this project
I love animals and I'm obsessed with gems, they're a special interest of mine so I really wanted to combine the two for an art project. I'm really hoping my mockups translate the ideas well!
The base goal pins
The base goal funds this ruby lizard pin, the returnee freebie, and also the collab pin amethyst dragon!!
This pin here is one of Midnight Springs' zoomed in (it's her gorgon pin which is available in the cross-collab campaign now), this is to show the effect I'm going for with these pins!
They'll all be like this, where it's glittery and then has transparent enamel over it. It has a nice multidimensional effect. There's the bonus of it being possible to do gradients this way too
My last project was Sweet Spiders. I don't have the pins yet because they're shipping the week this project goes live but these are pictures I have of the finished pins!
There are some limited pledges available for these pins as blind bags/"gacha spins" as add-ons! Once the pledged for limit is reached the listing will be hidden and only made available if one of the people who pledged for it cancels.
Vibrant blue metal with glittery enamel all over the body, the bright blue on the sides of the body will be slightly swirly pearl enamel. Soft enamel with epoxy. 40mm tall! Also unlocks catfish sticker add-on
Stretch 2: Garnet Snake (unlocks at $2,600)
Bright red-orange metal with glittery enamel all over the body, the eyes and head gem are all glittery translucent enamel without any pattern underneath. Soft enamel with epoxy. 37mm tall! Also unlocks snake sticker add-on
Stretch 3: Emerald Frog would unlock $3,200 (but the design is currently still wip)
When we pass the catfish I'll poll about the next colors/animal/gem type! Current brainstorms: pearl armadillo beetle, manatee, capybara, octopus, hermit crab, jackalope
I have add-ons of the spiders from my last campaign (limited stock) that will include the dango pins that aren't fully finished yet. The other spiders are pictured above, here is a picture of the dango without their printing yet:

For another pin I also have seconds grade purple "sly foxes" that were a collab between me and Midnight Springs a few years ago.

Lastly I also have add-ons of holo glittery sticker versions of the pin designs!
It takes 2 weeks after Geode Pets ends for me to receive the funds successfully charged (so around mid-November). I'll then pay the manufacturers (stickers and pins). Surveys (where you pay for shipping) will go out ASAP probably December, maybe early January. It will take likely until end of February for everyone to get their packages but there might be delays.
I have set up the pledge levels and add-ons as individual designs so that I can order them right away, instead of having to wait for surveys to be done.
I'm chronically ill and I don't know how long it will take me to pack all orders. I'll do my best. All WILL go out.
All pins will be shipped on backing cards, wrapped in paper packaging, and shipped in eco-friendly mailers - apparel will be in large compostable mailers. I canNOT ship to the EU, I'm sorry.

Pay Over Time is enabled, it's similar to afterpay and for pledges over $150. As long as the first payment goes through when the campaign ends, you will be considered a backer still, you'll just need to complete all payments for your survey to be sent to you which takes 4 months.
