Gio here from Phase II Publishing with another Dragons! update.
We are glad to announce that we are done with flavor text and descriptions for several dragons, including the following:
Gorgon Hydra
Bone Tyrant
Silver Eclipse
Verdant Terror
Breath of Moments
Dust Dragon
Yo⇮ Huzi
Box Wyvern
Scaled Siren
Dra'jinn
Husk Dragon
Somnithar
Spore Serpent
Tide Mother
Star Eater
Lodewyrm
and the dragon you helped create, the
Piixdipal Dragon
Based on poll results, this 3-lunged dragon will be able to attack multiple times per round with different breath attacks. This creature is able to unleash a cloud of mirror smoke tha can make the battlefield impossible to navigate and make targeting impossible. Also, it can spew sand, blasting the flesh off the bones of opponents as they try to figure out how to get out of the fun house they are now trapped in - and if PCs think they can just run away, the Piixdipal dragon has some news for them! That's because it can release an ooze from its pores that can slow them, trap them completely, and consume them like a gelatinous cube!
As a reminder, each dragon needs flavor text, description, stat blocks, ability mechanics, and art.
We are currently finalizing flavor text and descriptions for the next set of dragons, and we will send the update on that next update!
We are currently deep into contract negotiations for new artists for many new dragons. These should be finalized by the middle of the month, and we will be announcing many of the new artists on the next update.
Also, we wanted to tell you about our free bi-weekly newsletter, which includes tips for GMs, random tables, and even adventures - you can get a free vampire adventure just for signing up!
You can view short bios and sample art from some of our current artists on our partnership, as well as info on the newsletter, at our new venture website at http://www.deimosinfinitum.com or at http://www.phaseiipublishing.com.
Finally, the art for the Spore Serpent, a dragons that is fungus-themed, is being finalized. Please see progress photos below for the sketch/outline, initial watercolor, lines and initial shading, and final rendering in watercolor, ink, marker, white chalk marker, and acrylics.
This final image will be digitized and enhanced on drawing software for the final digital image, which we will share with you in a future update:
(Note: the final rendering image will appear only to backers under the "Backer-only content" section).
Gio here, one of the creators of Dragons! Dragons! Dragons! for 5e.
Before anything, I want to thank everyone for all the overwhelming support and in helping us achieve our goal of $10,000 in less than 48 hours. We are currently over 140% of goal at $14,300, and well on our way to the first stretch goal - and we still have almost 2 weeks left!
We need your help to get the project to new heights, leading to more great art, the highest quality paper, and valuable extras. Our first stretch goal is set at $20,000, and comes with a reward of FREE Random Tables for Lair Complications! These tables will allow you as the Game Master to keep players on their toes by making any lair a dynamic, changing, living character in the adventure. When players least expect it, something changes in their surroundings, forcing them to think quickly on their feet to manage the new threat. It's a fantastic way to make every single dungeon crawl or adventure an unforgettable experience!
How can you help?
The single-best way doesn't cost anything... word of mouth is what helps most crowdfunding campaigns grow to incredible levels. Getting friends, family, fellow players, and even game shop owners and employees to go to the Backerkit Dragons! Dragons! Dragons! site or support the project builds momentum and gets our publishing companies into people's minds, allowing us to create more projects you love, and to hire the best talent in the world. We make it easy - just show them the QR code at the bottom of this email so they can scan it with their phone's camera and it'll take them right to it!
You can also go over to the Community section of our Backerkit Campaign page and join the conversation! We have posts, questions, and even fun polls you can take part in to share your opinion about the project and dragons in general.
We are extremely humbled by your support and are anxious to get to some of these stretch goals so we can keep adding more value to this great set of supplements!
