As you read above, Isles of the Emberdark is here and—in our completely unbiased opinion, of course—it will undoubtedly be your new Sandershelf showpiece! Shipping begins today—you can follow along with our progress here.
NOTE: Once your label has been printed and you receive your shipping notification email, it is too late to update your shipping address. We recommend setting up a forwarding address. If your package returns to us as a result of an incorrect address, you will be responsible for paying the reshipment fee.
New Secret Project Ebook and Audiobook Access
Now that your digital rewards are available, you'll be able to find them on your survey confirmation page. You can also head to your digital rewards page directly and get your Isles of the Emberdark ebook and audiobook files!
Click on the “Get Your Digital Rewards button, and you will be able to access your Isles of the Emberdark digital downloads. If you have any questions about digital reward delivery, you can check out our campaign FAQs.
Audible Codes Accessible July 10!
With our expedited timeline, Audible was unable to find a way for backers to gain access to the audiobook without making it available to the public. Dragonsteel doing the unexpected? Who would have guessed!
We worked with Audible to find a solution that would allow our backers to get access to their codes with the least delay. (For a peek behind the curtain, there was an option where access would begin in September.) Audible codes will be available for you to redeem very soon, but slightly later than your other digital rewards. Starting on July 10, eligible backers will be able to find their Isles of the Emberdark code on their backer digital rewards page.
I thought i filled out the survey last year but it said I didnt submit it so I went ahead and did that last night so I can get my digital rewards. Any idea what to expect from here on out for me since it was submitted late?

Redemption Instructions
On July 1, 2025, you will receive an email from BackerKit to access your digital rewards. More instructions will be included, but in general you can expect the following:
1 – How to download your Isles of the Emberdark ebook:
You can also access all digital downloads once they become available by logging into your backer survey and selecting “Get Your Digital Downloads.” Ebook formats include EPUB, Kindle, Kobo, and PDF.
2 – How to redeem your Isle of the Emberdark audiobook:
Audible is working hard to get us the codes as soon as possible! Once the codes are prepared, those of you who backed the audiobook will receive a second email from BackerKit to notify you that additional digital rewards are available with further redemption instructions.

With New Secret Project shipping starting in less than a month, it is time to update your shipping address. This is critical to make sure that we ship your rewards to the right location.
First, try updating your shipping address through your backer survey. If you encounter any issues with updating your address, please contact our Dragonsteel support team and they can help.
Getting to the Good Stuff
Last time we checked in, we let you know that we were just waiting for the Isles of the Emberdark covers to get approved and fully foiled before they moved to the binding stage. Guess what! They are approved, foiled, and are being bound as we speak. They’ll be shipped to us very soon and that means that we’re gearing to start shipping July 1. That’s way ahead of what we initially anticipated. We are SO excited to get these books into your hands (and e-readers… and headphones).
New Secret Project ebooks are going to be distributed at the same time we begin physical New Secret Project reward fulfillment.
The advanced timeline for receiving the books caught both us and Audible by surprise! That means that New Secret Project audiobook rewards may be slightly delayed. Audible has to create codes for each of their distribution regions, so this takes a little extra time. However, we will be distributing them—as well as your MP3 and M4B rewards—as soon as we receive the codes.
