Thank you for the update, but No Ebook/audiobook statements?... Respectfully: Please consider for future dragonsteel business launches. Now that Audiobooks will work with your firm; I honestly don't see why the few of us that just wanted the Ebook should participate in the future projects. To spend this $20 and wait 18 months just for an Ebook doesn't make sense, especially when we have to wade through all the unnecessary updates just to find the Ebook info (Ex. this announcement completely ignored the ebook distribution (like all others announcements) and required me/us to slog through the comments section). Extremely unsatisfactory service for our unique purchasing group...
The ebook is a pre-order just like the physical and audio books are. Until the physical is released (or at least not until closer to the release), they won't release won't release the digital editions.
Hyrule I think we all understood your point without you needing to state it. Nothing that you said does anything to address my points. The hassle for our group of ebook only purchasers is way beyond the value proposition of the project versus just waiting for the ebook to be release like all the other past projects have released the books. I made my statements so Dragonsteel can consider whether our group of buyers are actually worth proper/direct customer support. Currently it is very lacking in this category.
So you understand that all editions of the book will release around the same time, but your mad that all editions of the book will release at the same time? What customer support are you lacking prior to the books being released? I mean, if the entire issue is that you pre-ordered and now have to wait (which you knew when you pre-ordered), then wouldn't it just be easier for future orders to just wait until it releases to order?
I'm quite confused about what your problem is here.
As I can't edit, I wanted to say that I believe my comment posted earlier today comes across as abrasive and I didn't mean to come across that way. I am genuinely confused as to what your issue is as the expectation for the ebook is that they will release it on, or around, the 1st of the same month they start shipping the physical books. This is how they did it with the original "Secret Project" books via Kickstarter. Any information regarding the physical book itself at the moment also covers the ebook. The ebook will have the same art, the same cover image. I expect that the only real difference is that they will probably have to do the layout slightly different to work digitally (as most books do), but not enough to require mention in an update.
