Welcome Proud Citizen of Kanrath!

In 2022, Bloodpunk dragged your table into the rusted veins and haunted alleys of Kanrath and Cyherested, cities where blood burns like coal and despair seeps through every cracked brick. Now, we'd like to return you to the cursed streets of Kanrath with a 150+ pages adventure

Lose yourself once more in blood-soaked lamps, choking fog, and a night where every heartbeat must be borrowed.

Night Before the White Wake is designed for a party of 3rd to 7th level detectives. The campaign is set in the crimson city of Kanrath, a dark Victorian metropolis shaped by vampire supremacy, political decay, and centuries of fear. The story unfolds across multiple interconnected investigations.

The 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th level adventures take place in the weeks and months leading up to the Night Before the White Wake. These earlier cases explore the factions, gangs, and syndicates that will later define the city’s descent into chaos.

The Night Before the White Wake itself is a 7th level adventure. It takes place over a single night, following a crime so severe that every power in Kanrath moves at once. Old alliances fracture, opportunists strike, and the city teeters on the edge of collapse. Everyone wants something from the night that follows.

You are detectives of the Kanrath Bureau of Homicide and Major Crimes, sworn to uphold the law in a city that has long forgotten what order means. Each of the earlier mini adventures is directly tied to the events of the White Wake. At least one detective from the main White Wake party appears in each of these cases, while the rest of the group may consist of other detectives or members of the main party.

The outcomes of these earlier investigations have lasting consequences. Decisions made and crimes left unresolved will directly affect the main adventure. Encounter difficulty, available locations, notable NPCs, and even faction behavior may change based on what came before.

So... The book contains at least five distinct storylines and five playable adventures, all feeding into the Night Before the White Wake. This number can expand further through stretch goals, adding new cases, factions, and paths through Kanrath’s darkest night.

As the White Wake begins, you will see the streets go feral, blood in the gutters, screams from the rooftops, whispers in the alleys, a city devouring itself while you try to hold it together. What waits for you in the dark will be the consequences of your actions. This is the night where Kanrath shows you the horror you helped build.

You will explore five major locations, each in a different area of Kanrath, from the city lighthouse to forgotten warehouses. Every step brings the detectives, you, closer to the truth, or deeper into the city’s corruption.

The adventure includes.
• 5 new monsters born from Kanrath’s darkest corners,
• 2 new organizations fighting for power during the White Wake,
• Morally heavy decision points that can change the night,
• A full, unfiltered Bloodpunk experience meant to showcase the world at its most violent and broken.
New monsters introduced by the Night Before the White Wake.

Most 5e stories place you far from the systems that break the world. Here, you live inside them. You do not arrive to save Kanrath. You work for Kanrath. You enforce laws written by vampires. You protect citizens who may not deserve protection. And when the city erupts, you are the ones ordered to clean the blood from the streets. Night Before the White Wake places players in the role of city officials forced to confront the horrors they may ignored, enabled or simply endured. It is harsh, atmospheric and deeply personal, pulling players into the moral weight of their choices.

New To Bloodpunk?

For those who have missed the previous project of Bloodpunk and is wandering what it is; here's a quick introduction to what we have provided before.

For those of you brave enough to adventure in the gruesome lands of Tolia, Bloodpunk offers plenty of options: 20 archetypes ranging from Veinscripter Wizards to Blood Knights and Bounty Hunters, 3 races, and 11 backgrounds and 26 feats to further customize your character.

Blood Elementalist - Angst’s Will - Bloodreaver - Blood Knuckles - Bloodhound Warden

Bloodpunk features 30 thematic magic items with striking, detailed illustrations. They work with the same magical means with which we’re all familiar from 5E, along with some new developments made possible by the angst crystal. Although many of these items have reached a level of use that challenges the place of magic itself, magic is still a force to be reckoned with in Tolia.

Use of the angst crystal and blood has foreseen some of the greatest innovations in all of Tolia’s history: bloodwork weapons and angst weapons. The industry of war alone has altered completely thanks to these unique inventions that utilize the reaction between the angst crystal and blood.

Bloodwork Exosuit

Angst weapons have veins made of angst crystals embedded within as the name suggests, which are activated when fed with blood; yours or that of your enemy. There are many different types of angst weapons, but all work with this same basic principle.

In bloodwork weapons, blood is stored in high-pressure canisters, which react with the angst and create a combustion. This pressure then pushes projectiles through a barrel, sending the ammunition to the target with a speed and momentum greater than that of crossbow bolts. Needless to say, both are bound to bring a distinctively violent flavor to your game!

Players will get to meet the memorable NPCs of this land like no other, and GMs will have information on the backgrounds and motives of all of them in great detail. 13 NPCs with exciting stories await your arrival in Tolia.

Professor Junkheart - The Fourth Child - Bronze Bureaucrat - One-Eyed Nardahr - Aziz Eshref Celebi

These are a selected collection just from Bloodpunk: A Guide to Tolia. You will find new monsters, NPCs, items, locations within the first adventure Heritage of the Damned and the short adventure Bloocrima's Ascent.

The characters will face ruthless factions, brutal choices, unspeakable crime on the streets, and shifting loyalties as they fight to restore Kanrath to its old, twisted balance. With deadly paths and morally demanding decisions at every turn, the adventure branches based on the choices your table makes.

A Guide To Tolia: This book, made for both Game Masters and players, opens the doors to a world powered by blood itself. Inside, you’ll find Tolian races, archetypes, backgrounds, feats, monsters, NPCs, and countless story tools shaped by a long and bitter conflict between the Crimson City and the City of Deceit. Designed for four 1st-level characters, who level up all the way to the 12th, this 5E adventure throws ordinary mortals into a struggle between cultists, rebels, royal vampires, and powerful sorcerers. After execution and an unexpected return, the party must chase the truth across Tolia, facing dangers and secrets far beyond mortal limits.

Bloocrima's Ascent: Bloocrima’s Ascent is designed for a party of three or four 3rd-level characters who are detectives of an investigator squad led by Ethan Ward. This adventure, set in Kanrath and Cyherested, is a short noir mystery of Bloodpunk 5E. Bloocrima’s Ascent takes place five years before the events of the Heritage of the Damned and it tells the story behind Ethan’s grumpy, melancholic nature.

The Night Grows Darker

We put a lot of thought into our stretch goals, designing them so we can give our backers the best possible content in the best possible form. Before the project launched, we asked you what you wanted to see. Some of those requests made it straight into the core project, and others we set aside to be unlocked as stretch goals. We would love to include everything from the start, but we also have to keep our production budget in mind. With your support, we believe we can push this project to the best version it can possibly be.

Shipping

Bloodpunk: Night Before the White Wake will be produced in collaboration with our China-based printing partners, following industry-standard manufacturing practices. Once production is complete, the items will be transported via freight vessels to our in-house warehouse in Turkey, where the assembly process will be carried out internally by our team.

After placing the products into specially manufactured boxes created for this project to be durable, we will partner with the most suitable shipping providers to deliver rewards to our backers worldwide.

Below, you can find the estimated shipping costs for the Bloodpunk: Night Before the White Wake hardcover book. Estimating the weight for some items in the Full Collection pledge is currently challenging due to the large number of components included. Once we are able to make a more accurate assessment, we will share an update with estimated shipping costs for our highest-tier pledge as well.

Digital fulfillment will be handled through DriveThruRPG and our VTT partners. As a result, products that already have completed PDF and VTT versions will be delivered digitally shortly after the campaign ends.
