Project Update: Hercules and the 12 Labors: Fulfillment Update
Hello Mighty Adventurers!
This update is focused on logistics and fulfillment for Hercules and the 12 Labors. I’m excited to share that production will be officially completed on September 30th, we’ve already started making arrangements for ocean freight and fulfillment for all backers. To keep things organized, I’ve broken updates down by region: US, UK, and Rest of the World.
Rest of World Fulfillment
We’re working with a fulfillment hub in China to ship to all countries except the UK and the US. The good news? You’ll receive your games before anyone else!
- Product will be picked up after the Chinese “Golden Week” holiday ends on October 8th.
- After pickup, the games will be organized and prepared for shipment within the following week.
- Once shipped the estimated shipping time is 2 to 3 weeks to reach their final destination.
- Shipments will be DDP (Delivered Duty Paid), meaning all duties, tariffs, and taxes have been prepaid.
Note: The following countries do not have DDP options and will be shipped DDU (Delivered Duty Unpaid): South Africa, Mexico, Cyprus, the Virgin Islands, Chile, and Brazil.
UK Fulfillment
Our manufacturer in China will ship a pallet of product to our UK fulfillment partner, Zatu Games.
- At this time, we don’t yet have a confirmed delivery timeline.
- I’m waiting for shipping information from the manufacturer and will provide updates as soon as I have an estimated timeline.
US Fulfillment
US ocean freight was booked last week. Originally, we hoped to have the product picked up right on September 30th, but due to timing with the Chinese holiday “Golden Week”, the pickup will now occur October 9th, adding just over a week to the timeline. (bad timing)
- Once the product is picked up, I’ll share the estimated arrival date with you.
- We booked one of the faster and more expensive ocean freight options, which initially listed a 31–38 day delivery timeframe, meaning at this point the product should arrive in the 2nd or 3rd week of November.
This timing is just ahead of PAX Unplugged, where Envy Born Games plans to debut Hercules and the 12 Labors for in person sales. Here’s where I’d love your input:
👉 I want to ask for your permission and feedback:
It has always been my priority to ensure backers receive their copies before any convention sales. However, because of the tight timeline and risks outside our control, there’s a chance fulfillment may overlap with or even fall just after PAX Unplugged. This event is extremely important for us, it’s costly to attend, and we’ve invested significantly in advertising Hercules and the 12 Labor debut there. If we’re unable to sell at this event, it would be a serious financial hit given the sunk costs of attending. More importantly, it could delay our ability to produce the next solo game in the series, Jason and the Argonauts, which I’m excited to start sharing with you all very soon.

That said, I would never make this decision lightly. If delays mean some backers have not yet received their copies, would you be comfortable with us selling at PAX Unplugged? We could even try to come up with some sort of special bonus or freebie for backers of this campaign who join us again in the next one (Jason and the Argonauts) as a small token of our appreciation. Please let me know your thoughts in the comments, I really value your voices in this. With all that said, it’s entirely possible the games won’t arrive in time for the convention at all if we face any unforeseen delays.
Important Note on Potential Delays:
Even with paying more for faster freight, there are still unknowns such as customs clearance delays or even a possible US government shutdown that could hold shipments up further. I’ll be watching this closely and will keep you updated every step of the way.

I know this was a lot of detail, but I want to be as transparent as possible. Thank you all for your continued support and patience, it means so much to me. I truly believe this game will be worth the wait, and I can’t wait for you to finally play it!
Sincerely,
Mathue Ryann
