Hello all! Sorry it's been so long since the last update.
Last time I wrote, we were prepping everything for the final editing pass. Well, now that's done! We've been busy finalising the Junk City files and getting everything ready to send to the printer and send to you.
Three rounds of editing later, we have stamped many typos, re-written the final adventure, tweaked campaign structure and have a hopefully-pretty-free-of-mistakes package!
Digital release
The digital release for Junk City is now ready! You should receive emails soon with instructions for how to download the files from BackerKit. Here is a link to your survey to access them as well. I'm super excited for you all to get a first real look at the campaign, the adventures and what we've been cooking for the last 3 years.
As part of the digital release, I'm trying something new: A digital edition of the adventures. This re-formats & lightly edits the adventures so they fit onto a normal A5 page sized book. It's a bit more friendly to digital reading and printing at home than the original premium pamphlet format. Let me know what you think! Should I back-port this to the Estate too?
On to the printing process
We've also finished prepping all the files to go to the printer. The next step will working with the printer on a "white box" sample. This is a 1:1 sample of what you'll finally get in the box, but without anything printed on it. Reviewing this gives us a chance to make sure that all the components are the right size & shape, and that everything fits in the box and feels great in the hand.
As we receive this sample, and move on to the next phases of production we'll be sure to keep you posted.

Hi everyone, just checking in to give an update on our progress from the production side of Junk City.
We're starting to close in on a finished product! The adventures and guidebook are written, play-tested, laid out and have complete art. This week we've received the editing & proofreading pass from our editor. Next will be finalising the layout documents with the final edits and prepping the files for print & digital.
We've also received production quotes and will be ordering prototypes soon to ensure everything is of highest quality. Once we've completed that, we will have a timeline for production of the boxes to begin in, with digital releases coming around that time too.

As mentioned in the previous update the Pledge Manager Surveys will be closing today Friday June 5th. You will receive a notice shortly that you have 48 hours to make any changes before your surveys are locked.
We will then send out a 48 hour notice on Monday June 8th before cards on file are charged for any add-ons and shipping fees.

You will see all campaigns that you have backed listed as add-ons in your cart as well as any early backer incentives, meeples, and the Mothership/ Mausritter Cross-collab Zine. Note, due to the nature of the BackerKit backend structure of the group shipping, the only add-ons that are available for purchase are products associated with the Junk City campaign.
We have sent out the "smoke test" today, which is an initial test of the pledge manager survey sent out to 5% of backers to make sure there are no errors. We expect to send the rest of the surveys out in the next day or so, assuming there are no issues. The pre-order store for Junk City will also open at this time.
We expect to close surveys and lock cards in about a month. We will follow up with another update in the next few days once all surveys are sent with those lock order and card charge dates.
