Alright everyone. All the orders are almost locked(the last two surveys were filled out!) and that means its time to charge cards for shipping and any additional add-ons y'all ordered. The cards will be charged this Thursday, and I'll get you guys more updates as they come along. Production is fully underway, and I'll be approving steps in the process and they come along and sharing process photos in batches, so as to keep the notifications from being too overwhelming. Once again, thank you all for making this project so successful!
The samples officially all have molds and are in the process of being made!
Take a look at these pictures of the unplated/non-filled parts! The quality of the photos isn't great, but I was also sent videos that look fantastic! (Backerkit doesn't support videos, but I'll be posting them on my Instagram story tomorrow if y'all want a closer look.) I'm happy everything is moving along smoothly so far. I ordered the samples last week, so this progress is great news!
Also, for those of you who pre-ordered the Superman Snowglobe Pin, the CATEYE effect under the snowglobe effect looks FANTASTIC so far! Here's a photo of that(the video will also be on my story tomorrow). It is so gorgeous as it moves.
The final bit of news is that I'll be locking orders in early August. I need to lock them soon so I have accurate numbers on the amount of pins and extras needed, so this will hopefully happen on the 2nd or 3rd. You will all get emails BEFORE I lock the orders, and then your cards will be charged for any extra add-ons you purchased and shipping. (I'm going to stress this because I saw a couple of people doubling up on add-ons they purchased during the campaign. If you want doubles, that's totally cool, but if you don't want doubles, be sure to edit your survey before the 2nd so you don't accidentally buy two of something you only want 1 of.)
THIS WILL NOT LOCK YOUR ADDRESS. You'll be able to change your shipping address all the way up until I have everything in hand. (If you wanted the Superman pin now that you've seen one of the cool effects, you can add it to your order before I lock them this week!)
Addition: Locking orders currently only applies to the surveys that are filled out! I know I'm working fast so no worries if you're late to the survey! I have enough surveys for accurate counts, just get them in as soon as you can!
Smoke Tests were a success, so I've sent out everyones surveys! Be sure to answer them as soon as you can so I can have an accurate order for pins and freebies!

Hi Y'all! Smoke Tests are scheduled to go out on the 22nd, so please keep your eyes peeled for your email so you can help me see if anything needs to be fixed or changed! These tests will ensure that I don't send everyone a survey that doesn't work, so please help me out if you receive the early survey. Hopefully, nothing's wrong and we can proceed immediately.
In production news, I've received proofs!!! I worked with the production team to choose the correct Pantone colors, as well as the quicksand effects and glow powder. Here's an insider look at the layers the pins will have to accommodate the glitter/snowglobe effect. (Including the new super logo snowglobe pin that'll be available as an add-on in the Backerkit Survey, you all will be able to get it at the campaign price of $20, while the Etsy pre-orders will be $24.)
