My pledge is confirmation # 598529. I just got the "delivery confirmation" from USPS. My package mailbox was EMPTY when I opened it. I have attempted to start a claim with USPS, but the "claim window" is 15-60 days after delivery (!!!) Thus, I cannot submit a claim for TWO MORE WEEKS. As per my pledge, I was one of the "first 48 hours" backers, so I am expecting to receive the early bird patch as well as my books. I'm not sure what to do - I cannot flag the postman tomorrow as I will be out of town tomorrow. I am seeking advice here - what is the best way to get this resolved? Sidebar - this isn't the first time my postman has lost a book! Lost another one last year, but that vendor was able to send me a new one and make a claim on their own. About once a year I lose something from them; I have lost several vehicle registration tags and had to drive to the DMV to get a new one (!!!) I swear I think my postman is doing this on purpose...
