Project Update: June Update-Backer Monsters Announced!
Summer has finally arrived with a sizzle here in the Northeast US. I hope all are staying cool and enjoying some nice vacation time.
Both main monster books are deep into layout, and most of the supporting books are in various stages of layout. The next steps will be proofing the layout documents and then preparing the files to go to the printer. Two additional topics for this update: We are ready to announce the 14 lucky backers that had their submitted monsters selected for publication. And of course we have more new art to share!
ANNOUNCING THE 14 BACKER-SUBMITTED MONSTERS
We received scores of monster submissions from the backers for both versions of the rules. And it was difficult whittling the submissions down to the very best 14. The selection teams needed to decide between a host of animated constructs, weird aberrations and monstrous beasts. When the votes were tallied, we had our deadly dozen plus two! And don't worry: if a monster was accepted in DCC rules, it will be converted to 5E rules in-house. Same with 5E accepted monsters: these were converted to DCC rules in-house. So regardless of which rules version of the book you are getting, you get all 14 monsters!
Without further delay, here is the list:
Blooderfly by Heath Harris
Cinderhowl by Reuben Taylor
Corvus Corpus by Bob Nelson
Cycloctopus by Shane "Kablooey" Madgett
Glowmander by Louis Bouvier AKA Bouvietto
Gravel Golem by Jackson Baker
Locustomite by Kyle Bascom
Mind Shrike by Mehran Baluch
Mireling by Paul Penna
Necrose by Dusty Harrell
Okkar's Table by Robert Wertz
Siltfiddler by Chris Harvey-Savage
Spellstealer Golem by noideer
Tenterhooks by Jonah Buck

Project Update: May Update
Just a quick update to let you know all of the books are moving in the right direction. The main Dungeon Denizens 2 Books (both versions) are in layout! Artwork comes in daily (see below). Right now the design teams are working on the appendices. All of the other books are either in layout, or very soon will be in layout. The next step after this is proofing the files.
Did someone say artwork? Here is abut a sample of what has recently arrived in our inbox.

Project Update: Thanks for an amazing campaign
Hello everyone!
Thanks for an amazing campaign!
On this final day, over four hours of streaming and OT mode, it was great to hang out with so many of the contributors and backers. Special thanks to Matt, Chris and Mike for pulling together these incredible books, and all the authors and artists who contributed to Dungeon Denizens 2, How to Write Even Better Adventures, The Monster Alphabet, The Flumph's Catalogue of Magical Curiosities, and so many other titles. And a special behind-the-scenes thanks to Brett, Alana and Val of our marketing team, who pulled together all the livestreams, graphics, and polls for exciting things Monster Madness.
Speaking of which: allow us to present the winner:
Winner: Brain-In-A-Beaker!
We'll have more updates to come regarding layout and production. But for now, it's time for a nap!
Thanks everyone!
P.S. OverTime Monsters
And before we forget! Here are the OT monsters that were cleared. Although we're going to rename the Binichea, as discussed on the stream!

I am looking for the DCC core book errata. I am looking at the Cantrip spell and it says Duration Varies, but there are four effects listed and none of them mention information about Duration, only Range so if it 'varies' and the effect is 'patch of darkness' how long would the darkness last or it says 'basic ventriloquism' how long will that effect last. Should we use spell effects that are similar like Ventriloquism or Darkness spell since Cantrip is effetely duplicating at least an aspect of another existing spell. What is the official answer and is there an already existing updated DCC core book Errata file I can use. I could not find it. Any help or clarification is appreciated. My default assumption is it is 1 round/level, and I don't see why it lists 'varies', except some effects might be Instantaneous so the effect should have either one or the other depending on the effect, such as casting some static electric effect that deals d3 damage, instantaneous duration, but the effect that allows the caster to turn a door knob (telekinetic) then 1 round/level the caster could continue to turn other door knobs or move small objects based on the effect limitations. Anyone got thoughts on this?
