Project FAQ
We don't plan to have card stock pawns for Dungeon Denizens 2, mostly because we haven't fulfilled the DD1 card stock pawns yet. (For DD1 backers - the pawns are on an inbound boat and we anticipate starting fulfillment on them in about "a month or two".) Once DD1 pawns are fulfilled, if there is a big demand, we may consider adding them to DD2 at the pledge manager stage.
Yes! Most importantly, Dungeon Denizens 2 backers will receive an edition of the book that has extra pages and additional monsters not available in retail! Plus any stretch goals will be collected in a stretch goal pack that is exclusive to crowdfunding. In addition, the "floppy adventures" all feature crowdfunding-specific foil covers. (This is for DCC #112, MCC #16, FEF #35 and FEF #36.) Finally, the "Denizens 2" tee will not be available through stores.
Yes! All add-ons for this project are offered at a 10% savings from MSRP. If you purchase some of the pre-bundled pledge levels you can save even more, up to 25% off!
An A-list of modern adventure designers! The contributors include Martin Buinicki, Michael Curtis, Kelsey Dionne, Wally DM, Chris Doyle, Matt Forbeck, Jerry Grayson, Ed Greenwood, Luke Gygax, Kenneth Hite, Taylor Hoch, Jon Hodson, Alex Kammer, Brendan LaSalle, Robin D. Laws, Rick Maffei, Shawn Merwin, Jean Rabe, Phil Reed, Sean K Reynolds, James M. Spahn, Bryan CP Steele, Harley Stroh, Steven Winter, and more!
The monster-hide edition is printed on a textured leatherette material that simulates a monster hide. For the first book in the Dungeon Denizens series, we used a texture that is reptile-scaled in nature. For Dungeon Denizens 2, we intend to let backers vote as the exact texture we use. No matter what the outcome, it will have a cool monster-ish texture and have a great foil image debossed on it!
Shipping will be charged during the pledge manager phase, after the fundraising campaign is completed. Shipping charges are not included in the basic pledge levels.
In general we will have international-friendly shipping. EU/UK shipments will originate from a UK-based shipping point. AUS/NZ/SEA shipments will originate from an AUS-based shipping point. CAN shipments will originate from a CAN-based shipping point.
For stretch goals on the BackerKit platform, click the "Community" tab at top of the project, then look at the "Achievements" section.
Yes! The monster images for Dungeon Denizens 2 are being created in a VTT-friendly style. You can purchase a set of VTT tokens as an add-on.
We are able to provide Small through 4XL, with Tall options in 2XL, 3XL and 4XL (depending on availability from our T-shirt vendor, but they usually come through).

The DCC RPG core rulebook has been reprinted more than a dozen times in the last decade. Each time there are subtle differences. The page count has changed slightly, the paper stock has changed slightly, and the cover boards have changed slightly, depending on printer specs over the years. As a result, different printings are slightly different widths. The slipcase being printed with this project will fit the two variant covers of the DCC core rulebook offered with this project (the "McAusland wraparound cover" and the leatherbound), as well as the "basic blue version" also printed alongside them in the 14th printing. We cannot guarantee that the slipcase will fit prior printings of the book, since the specs vary slightly.
This compilation has 22 different adventures in our popular 2-page format: 1 map, 1 piece of artwork, and 3-5 encounter areas. The adventures cover a wide range of levels (2nd/1st level for 5E/DCC up to 10th/5th level for 5E/DCC), and include a variety of environments. These adventures feature numerous creatures from Dungeon Denizens II, and are easy to insert into an ongoing campaign.
The 14th printing of the DCC rulebook contains a new 1st level adventure by Marzio Muscedere. Entitled “Dawn of the Silver Death,” the adventure concerns a mysterious cold snap that freezes a seaside town when an ominous iceberg drifts into the harbor. The PCs will have to face down twisted humanoids, prehistoric dangers, alien gods, and freezing temperatures to restore order to the town.
The 6th printing of the MCC rulebook contains a new 0-level funnel by Brendan LaSalle called “The Weirding Music of Xocust Mountain.” When strange, haunting melodies begin infiltrating the dreams of local villagers, the elders send a new cadre of would-be Seekers to discover the source of the plentiful music as their Rite of Passage. What they discover is a fractured tower of the Ancients once used as an observatory. The PCs must deal with mutants, Ais, otherworldly energies and more that occupy the ruined structure if they wish to pass into adulthood.
BackerKit FAQ
BackerKit Crowdfunding is an all-or-nothing collaborative funding platform. Creators share their project ideas and set a funding goal with a deadline. Backers pledge money to help make the project possible.
If the project meets its goal by the deadline, pledges are charged and the creator moves forward. If it doesn’t, no one is charged.
Backers often receive special rewards for their support, such as:
- Exclusive products
- Bonus rewards for backing related projects
- Discount pricing
- Behind-the-scenes updates
- Creative input opportunities
Pledging in crowdfunding is a commitment to support the creation of a new product or project. Unlike a traditional purchase, you're not buying an item that already exists. Instead, your contribution helps bring a creative idea to life, and in return, you typically receive rewards (such as the product itself) as a thank you for your early support.
- Select a pledge level with the reward(s) you would like to receive
- Select any add-ons
- Confirm your pledge!
- You are charged only if the campaign meets its funding goal.
- Charges happen when the campaign ends, not when you pledge.
The creator will send you a survey to:
- Ask you for more information about your rewards (selecting options, etc)
- Collect shipping information
- Offer additional items you may want to add to your pledge
- Collect shipping fees (if applicable)
The survey will be sent to the email address we have on file with your pledge. Additional payments are charged when you complete the survey.
Only the project creator and the BackerKit Support Team can see your pledge and contact information. Other backers and the public cannot see your individual pledge amount or personal details.
You can change or adjust your pledge level and add-ons before the campaign ends. After the project concludes, cancellations or changes are at the creator's discretion and may depend on what stage the project is in.
Overtime Mode extends your campaign past its original end time to give backers a final chance to make their pledge. It will add an additional 10 minutes past the end time as long as pledges keep coming in. The campaign will end when there is a 10-minute period without any new pledges.
