Life has been pretty busy and this project has taken longer than I was hoping for. As such, I've released a black and white version of the game without any art so you can start playing! This version has some awkward spacing, but just imagine pictures of silly demons in those spaces (or slices of your favorite cake).
A code is included in this post for backers to be able to download a copy for free when you check out with it at goosepoopgames.com (please email [email protected] if you're having trouble).
Currently I'm working to get the Deviled Deck printed so hopefully I'll have some copies ready by PAX Unplugged, but no promises. I'll also get the Take Out Menu ready so people can get PDF copies and physical copies at PAX Unplugged. I'll also be working to get the Backerkit questionnaire out in October.
The deluxe box will take a tiny bit longer, as it's many little projects put in one tasty pack, but I'm hoping to start printing by early January at the latest. Sorry for the delays!

Things are warming up. Soon the burgers will be sizzling on the grill, marshmallows roasting over the campfire (do you burn yours?), and food trucks lining the streets.

Card Progress
All the card art has arrived! Wes did an amazing job giving the Kings, Queens, and Jacks character and personality. The writing for the cards is also complete, so I'm currently working on the layout to get it ready for a test print. The Deviled Deck is also its own mini party role playing game, great for ice breaker game sessions or hanging out with friends.
Book Progress
The layout for the book is still in its planning phase. I (Jordan) have been working on getting my previous game, Warped FM up and out the door, so other projects had to sit on the backburner for a moment. May will get a more wireframes layout and all the writing should be done. Waiting on a couple more guest writers to finish up.

Good Soup: Grandma's Secret Stash "More food games?" That's, more food games. Our most popular game, Good Soup, is getting a full release version, fitted with colorful art, roll tables, and tasty soup recipes! There will also be "Grandma's Secret Stash," a box set with a full campaign and plenty of soup recipes, all printed on recipe cards (based off my grandma's own recipe box). The excitement of funding in February and rushing right into a bunch of conventions has left me with little time for updates. Have no fear, though, as plans are still happening!
Timeline
Currently the plan is to get the bulk of writing done this month then dedicate April to completing the layout of the book and other products. Test prints will then be sent out in May with hopes to get an initial print run set in June. Our friends at Studio 2 will be our fulfillment partners in this project, making sure your delicate gaming morsels are safe and sound as they travel their way to you.
The Deviled Deck
I was at the Unpub Festival this past weekend playtesting Deviled Deck with others. If you weren't aware, our custom deck of cards will include its own 20-30min ttrpg! Play a quick little gm-less TTRPG with friends and family on the go or while waiting for your meal to arrive! The playtests had a great reception. Setup and learning was a quick 2 minute explanation and we were off on a silly adventure. Players loved the fun prompts on the cards and how an entire game was able to be played in only 30 minutes. Many of those unfamiliar with TTRPGs or improv story games were able to pick up the game and wanted to play again.

Guest Writers
Adventures are already flooding in from our guest writers! Been very grateful for their excitement and support for the project. Rahrah's is looking like a mix of introspection, the afterlife, and marmalade. Destiny's is a cheesy amusement park that's totally not related to everyone's favorite mouse.

Next Project: Birdhouse
Yup! We're already planning our next crowdfunding campaign. If you want weird games that fit in your pocket, check out Birdhouse. Birdhouse is a cozy card game where you're stacking birdhouses to get the most seeds! 2-4 players, 15 minutes (plus learning), 18 cards.
The campaign will have a Deluxe Birdhouse, that will have all 5 of our pocket games and open up to a small birdhouse you can place on your board game shelf! The little birdhouse can hold all your loose game pieces, too!
