The excitement of funding in February and rushing right into a bunch of conventions has left me with little time for updates. Have no fear, though, as plans are still happening!
Timeline
Currently the plan is to get the bulk of writing done this month then dedicate April to completing the layout of the book and other products. Test prints will then be sent out in May with hopes to get an initial print run set in June. Our friends at Studio 2 will be our fulfillment partners in this project, making sure your delicate gaming morsels are safe and sound as they travel their way to you.
The Deviled Deck
I was at the Unpub Festival this past weekend playtesting Deviled Deck with others. If you weren't aware, our custom deck of cards will include its own 20-30min ttrpg! Play a quick little gm-less TTRPG with friends and family on the go or while waiting for your meal to arrive! The playtests had a great reception. Setup and learning was a quick 2 minute explanation and we were off on a silly adventure. Players loved the fun prompts on the cards and how an entire game was able to be played in only 30 minutes. Many of those unfamiliar with TTRPGs or improv story games were able to pick up the game and wanted to play again.
Check out the card sketches we got from our artist, Wes!
Preorder Page
If you're looking to purchase more Food and Evil, our preorder page is currently up and running! We also have some of popular food-based games on there, like Honk Daddy and Good Soup. Check it out at foodandevil.goosepoopgames.com
Guest Writers
Adventures are already flooding in from our guest writers! Been very grateful for their excitement and support for the project. Rahrah's is looking like a mix of introspection, the afterlife, and marmalade. Destiny's is a cheesy amusement park that's totally not related to everyone's favorite mouse.
That's all the updates for now! Thanks for reading. I'll be sending over preview spreads in the next installment, so stay tuned.
Thank you everyone for all your support! It's been heartwarming seeing everyone's enjoyment of Food and Evil. This has been my MOST SUCCESSFUL CROWDFUNDING CAMPAIGN. I'm super grateful of this achievement and I can't wait to get Food and Evil on your hands.
Final Stretch Goal
We are so close to finishing our last stretch goal! Help us get to 20 total adventures and a full party TTRPG. You can upgrade your base book into a Deluxe To-Go Box ;)
Make an adventure with us Ryland and I will be live tonight on twitch.tv/goosepoopgames at 7pm est designing a game live. Join the chat and throw us your suggestions. No wrong answers!
Stretch Goal Writers
We're already getting adventures back from our writers and I must say: They're one HELL of a good time! Give us a follow for more updates. Our current plan is to start layout in April, so hoping to have all writing done by then.
Next Project: Birdhouse
Yup! We're already planning our next crowdfunding campaign. If you want weird games that fit in your pocket, check out Birdhouse. Birdhouse is a cozy card game where you're stacking birdhouses to get the most seeds! 2-4 players, 15 minutes (plus learning), 18 cards.
The campaign will have a Deluxe Birdhouse, that will have all 5 of our pocket games and open up to a small birdhouse you can place on your board game shelf! The little birdhouse can hold all your loose game pieces, too!
Get notified when we go live in May: birdhouse.goosepoopgames.com
Now's the time to back Food and Evil before prices go up.
Our last Stretch Goal is here!
We're turning the Deviled Deck (our custom deck of playing cards) into a full party TTRPG! Create a quick adventure with friends with a quick flip of the cards. Play as students of Holistic Entrepreneurial Culinary Kitchen University (H.E.C.K.-U), solving problems and creating new ones. Can you make a tasty dish in time to please your teachers? Use this is a way to create your demon before you play in the full adventure.
20 Adventures!
Speaking of adventures; if we pass the $6k stretch goal we'll put 20 adventures in the book! That's over 120 pages of sweet content to get your mischievous demon hands on. Dungeon crawls, heists, mysteries, dating shows, no patty will be left unturned in this book. Support Food and Evil today before prices raise.
Final Week Streams
Just in case you forget, we have plenty of content to keep you entertained this week! See how Food and Evil plays, learn about our artist's inspiration, and create an adventure with us live this week!
Support our community: Tales from the Tape Deck
Our friends Yamil and Ahmed are launching their next game, Tales from the Tape Deck, over on Kickstarter! This is a series of stories and adventures set in the end times (a common theme with other projects, I wonder why). Adventures are set in genre-specific playlists that play as your built in countdown.
You did it! You helped us complete our 5th stretch goal.
That means we are currently up to 16 adventures to be included in Food and Evil. If we pass our final stretch goal (okay, there may be one last secret one I haven't mentioned yet), then Ryland and I will round it out and have 20 adventures included in the book! That's over 120 pages of mischievously tasty fun!
Recent Streams
Monday we played Danger Rings, our Fast and Furious food truck racing adventure. The players were amazing and told a wonderful story of food and family. I was laughing the entire time while producing it. You can check out the recording here: https://youtu.be/VjSEf0R13xw

Follow at the goosepoopgames Twitch channel, or watch it streamed directly into our Backerkit page! Magical!
Monday the 16th at 7pm EST we'll be having another live stream game of Food and Evil! The players will be playing the adventure "Danger Rings," a Fast and Furious spin off with food truck racing and explosions (of flavor!)
